Since both of them were turning 21 only 10 days apart, Ava and Calum decided on a combined birthday party on 20th of January which was the exactly 5 days from both their birthdays. And since 21 wasn't a huge milestone in Australia, Ashton decided to fly Ava, Sydney and Noah out to LA where they could celebrate Ava's legal drinking age. So as the day of departure came, the three still friends boarded the plane and flew out to the states. As soon as Ashton saw his blonde best friend he ran over and hugged her so tightly, he literally lifted her off the floor and didn't even notice it until he had to put her back down.

"Oh um...sorry bout that, I'm just so happy to see you after 4 months."

"Yeah, I missed you too."

Ashton went on to greet the other two which were slowly but surely becoming his close friends as well, while Ava was hugged the shit out of by Luke.

"Dang I never thought I'd miss my little sis so much."

"I'm still older then you..."

"Yeah but you are like what...14 inches shorter?"

Ava rolled her eyes and then the five of then headed through a closed section off to the car alongside a few security guys just because things at the airports got a little crazy with 5sos sometimes. Luckily, no one was really expecting them there so only a couple a of fans stopped them for a picture and they were able to give their undivided attention to those few which made them all very happy. Then they drove to Luke's house where Ava and her friends were staying.

"So technically there is a room for two people to stay here but if I go and stay with Ashton then you all could fit in here..."

"No way. I'm not kicking you out of your own house. I'll go stay there."

"No way Ava. You should stay with your brother and I'll go stay with Ashton if be doesn't mind?"

Ashton soon his hand and Noah gave her a point proven look. But then, Sydney totally unexpectedly cut in.

"Well to be fair I could go stay with Ashton too. I mean...I'm sure Luke wouldn't mind having you here Noah and I do know Ashton longer then you do..."

She bit her lip and Ashton became just as bright red as Michael's hair once were. The room stayed silent but Sydney gave Luke a pressuring look to make him nod.

"Umm...yeah sure. Why don't you stay here Noah and Sydney can go with Ashton..."

Noah looked confused but didn't complain on spending more time alone, or almost alone, with Ava. Sydney pulled Ashton and Luke by their sleeves.

"Give me a sec."

Then they walked out of the room and left Ava and Noah standing there confused about what Sydney was doing. In the meantime, Sydney was outside of the closed door, explaining to Luke and Ashton why she volunteered to sleep elsewhere.

"Either you two are total morons, are abnormally oblivious or just never really spent that much time with them to notice, Noah likes Ava. Like a lot. And this trip is the perfect opportunity for him to make a move...like about time...but do you get where I'm going with this?"

Ashton and Luke both made the exact same oooooh noise and nodded. Now they understood what was happening. Of course, Sydney left out the part where she didn't mind one bit spending more then a week, every night alone with the cute drummer she never really stopped liking all together. Then the trio retuned to the room and the boys were so obviously smirking it made Ava and Noah feel uncomfortable.
