Y/N's POV
The four of us walked into the last store that he boys wanted to go to. Keifer nudged my shoulder, causing my shoulder to accidentally bump Mackie's, who was also right next to me. I turned my head to face Keifer, covering my mouth as a I yawned small.
"You haven't bought anything all day, Y/N. Is anything wrong?" Keifer asked concerned.
I grinned brightly to reassure him. "Don't worry, Keifer. Nothing's been catching my eye, that's all."
He smiled relieved, running past me to catch up with a still ecstatic Francis. I caught Mackie stealing glances at me from the corner of his eye. I turned to face him with a small pout on my lips.
"What's up, Mack?" I whined, fake annoyance finding its way into my tone. Mackie kept a slightly seriousness look on his face as he sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.
I tilted my head to the side, eager to find out what he is thinking. "It's just, Keifer is treating you like such a gentleman. It's almost like-" Mackie hesitated. "Like he likes you."
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I watched an expression of pure irritation take place on Mackie's face. He sighed again and I could see him brush away his thoughts by shaking his head.
He turned back to me and smiled reassuringly, "Don't worry, Y/N. Anyway, I should head over to the guy's side. Try to find something you like, okay? Call me if you need anything."
With that he turned and walked away, his hands in his jean pockets. I smiled in his direction admiringly, even though I knew he couldn't see me.
I thought back to what Mackie had said about Keifer. Now that I think about it, Keifer has been treating me really good lately. Maybe even more starting last night. I also shook my head as my hand grazed across an array of blouses all lined up. Keifer has always been the kind and polite one. He would treat anyone like this. Keifer doesn't like me. Right?
A bright slightly mustard yellow hoodie caught the corner of my eye. I walked toward it and looked for my size. I smiled at it as I looked for a jean skirt to pair it with.
I made my way towards the closest dressing room and walked in. I changed out of my dress and into the newly chosen outfit. Knowing there was a bigger mirror outside, I shuffled outside and dusted myself off in the mirror.
My eyes averted to the ground and I caught notice of my shoes. I focused on my shoes, realizing that maybe I should get them replaced. I closed my eyes for a second to sneeze.
A sudden forced nudged into me, almost feeling like a person. I let out a small squeal as I felt myself stumble onto the floor. I braced myself and stuck of my arms so the impact wouldn't be as hard.
A sharp pain shot through my body when I fell, causing me to let out another small cry. My ankle started throbbing and I knew instantly that it was the source of the pain.
I opened my eyes, squinting at first before narrowing my eyes, trying to get a better look at the person in front of me.
When I finally got a clear view on who it was, I couldn't believe it.
A/N:
