Mackie's POV

I ran around the theater, looking frantically. The only place I haven't searched yet was the outside quad area. I stopped running, knowing that I would find her there.

I peeked behind every bench, every bush, every planted tree. No sign of Y/N.

I heard rustling behind me and when I turned around, I saw a sitting shadow of a figure there, watching me. I knew it was her, but I still only took light steps. I heard the soft sniffles coming from her and my heart pulsated with a wretching ache feeling.

I kneeled down in front of her and grabbed her hand that was resting on her knee. She tried to pull her hand away but I kept my grip tight, knowing she would try in the first place. I slowly pulled her out of her sitting position, and guided her slouching figure to stand next to me.

"Y/N, I-" I started but before I could finish, she cut me off. She put her finger to my lips for a brief second and that seemed to shut me up enough for her to get a word in.

"Mackie, just stop. I know. It's okay. You don't have to take pity on me just because I fell for you. I know I'd never have a chance with you anyway. How could a pop star like you ever feel the way I do, you deserve a girl more like Esang.  Even after we kissed," she whispered the last part, in an attempt for me not to hear. But every word she said was clear to me.

I stuttered in awe when I got the confirmation I needed, "Y/N, why would you think you'd never had a chance with me?"

A few moments of silence passed until Y/N softly whispered, a few tears falling down her face, "Because you don't love me the way I love you."

I took a sharp breath in as I stared into her eyes, ones of which were avoiding mine. There was no lie in her eyes, she was telling the truth. Y/N really did love me.

I grabbed her hands tightly, pulled her close, swiftly wiped her tears away,

and kissed her.

As my lips connected with hers, a shock of electricity jolted through my body. A warm feeling enveloped me as I felt Y/N tense up from the sudden contact. I wrapped my arms around her waist before she hesitantly wrapped her arms around my neck. I deepened the kiss as her entire body finally relaxed.

Fireworks. Fireworks everywhere.

Her lips tasted sweet, like peaches and honey. Damn, I will never get enough of this. I rather stay like this forever than do anything else.

We both pulled away for air as our breathing became ragged. Her hands came off my neck but my hands remained on her waist, laying my forehead on hers.

"My God, I love you Y/N," I whispered, in between breaths.

Her eyes widened and she tore away from me. "Y-you do?!" she exasperated.

She continued, "B-but you just s-saw me kiss Keifer, shouldn't y-you feel betrayed or something? A-and Esang, I thought you t-two got back together or something, I mean the way she was hugging onto y-your arm seemed pretty intimate. I mean, really Mackie, are you sure you like me-"

I cut off her useless rambling by tugging her arm and pulling her into a hug, "Yes Y/N, I love you. And only you, not Esang."

She backed away and stared into my eyes. As if she was looking for an answer in my eyes, I gave her a small smile and wiped one lasting tear that was left on her face. After what seemed like forever of Y/N processing everything in her mind, it seemed as if her feelings were just too strong for her mind and made their own decision. Her eyes softened and she put a hand against my cheek as if to see if I was real.

Before I could say anything, she pulled me into a softer kiss than our last one. This one was filled with emotion, so much more passion. Like she was conveying all her feelings for me into this one kiss.

She pulled away from me with a smile on her face as I matched my grin with hers.

"Y/N, will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" I asked after we both regained a normal rate of breathing.

Y/N smiled the most beautiful smile she has ever smiled yet and responded with absolute joy in her tone of voice, "Yes, Mackie. I would love to be your girlfriend."

Excitement running through my veins, I unconsciously grabbed her and swung her around. A blush made its way onto her face when she she patted my arm to stop spinning her.

I kissed her cheek when I finally put her down and smirked, "You better believe that I'll kiss you however many times it'll take to get you to forget about Keifer."

A strong, tomato red blush crawled up Y/N's neck all the way up to her forehead. She spluttered to respond with a comeback but nothing came out. She gave up and just smacked my arm in annoyance.

I grabbed her one last time and whispered, "I love you, and don't you forget that."
