Y/N's POV
I stumbled to close the door to my room behind me, sliding down the door once I got in. My fingers fluttered to my lips, grazing over them ever so gently.
I just kissed Mackie Empuerto.
On the lips.
And I liked it.
I liked it.
I like him.
I like Mackie Empuerto.
A strong, bright red blush tinted my entire face and neck. Just thinking about him made my heart beat faster. An image of Mackie flashed through my mind as my blush grew stronger, if that was even possible.
I sighed as I cuddled into the sheets of my bed. My eyes got heavier and heavier the more I thought about him, eventually pulling me into a peaceful slumber, definitely excited for tomorrow.

I yawned the next morning as I brushed my teeth lazily. From the bathroom, I heard a door open outside. I glanced out the door to see Mackie carrying at least five outfit bags and three shoe boxes. I smiled, remembering our moment last night. I swiftly finished brushing my teeth and walked outside to help him.
"Hey Mack, need some help?" I asked sweetly, gesturing towards the big pile of stuff he had in his arms.
"Uh uh, no thanks Y/N. I'm fine. The car's here already anyway," he said, obviously avoiding my eyes.
"It's okay, I can help you," I insisted, reaching for a shoe box.
But Mackie shoved me slightly out of the way. "I'm fine Y/N! Just leave me alone. Okay?!" he stormed out and downstairs.
I heard the front door close as I stood there dumbfounded. I touched my right shoulder where it slightly hurt. He shoved me out of the way, on purpose.
Still in shock, I walked into my room. Thoughts started to cloud my mind as my legs gave out and I fell to the floor.
His eyes looked so remorseful.
He regrets it.
He doesn't like me
He never did.
He's famous, why would he choose me?
A girl like Esang should be the one to be with him.
Mackie will never love me the way I want him to.
Tears pricked my eyes when I realized everything. Maybe last night was a mistake. Mackie seems to think so. I couldn't find the urge to get up until I realized something else.
I promised to be there at their concert. I wiped some of my tears away as I stood back up. Mackie may not love me in that way, but the least I could do is be a friend for him.
My eyes filled with sadness as I looked towards the beautiful shade of red hanging on my closet.
Just a friend.
For him.
Mackie's POV
I'm so scared. I'm sure she regrets it. Y/N deserves a calm and kind guy, like Keifer. Not someone reckless and stupid, like me.
I can't believe I avoided her this morning. I saw the hurt in her eyes. But it's the least I can do for her. I have to protect her.
Even if it's from me.

The 5 hours of practices and stage rehearsals later, the only thought in my mind being the concert. Keifer and Francis were scrambling around in hair and makeup, but luckily I finished mine in a matter of minutes. I walked to the edge of the stage, hiding behind the velvety red curtain.
I watched as the crowd filed in the seats, but I was waiting for a certain person to show up. And then I saw her. She wore the deep red dress that complimented her hair and skin. Y/N looked around the stage and I caught her eye.
I averted my eyes and hid behind the curtain when we made eye contact. I instantly knew it was a mistake and immediately reached back for the curtain. My hand stopped as it grazed the material. I withdrew it and walked back to check on Keifer and Francis.
I was about to walk through the door when I heard an interesting conversation.
First, I heard a voice like Francis's, "What do you mean Keifer?"
Then a voice that sounded like Keifer, but more serious than usual.
"Francis, I mean that I'm telling Y/N I like her tonight."
A/N:
