Together Again

Aphmau's pov
"Wait Aarons awake?" My jaw almost hits the floor. Aarons awake!! It sinks in, Aaron has been in a coma for more than a month due to a car crash, nobody really thought he was going to wake up.

"Aaron, calm down! Keep your eyes on the road it was nothing!"
"No! It wasn't nothing! They could have hurt you! What if you died, huh? What then? Would it still be nothing?"
I was desperate now. "Aaron if you don't chill out you're gonna kill both of us! AARON LOOK OUT!"

The nurse on the other end of the phone was calm, "Yes he is, he's been asking for you all morning."
Aaron was asking for me? The crash was my fault and he wanted to see me when I put him in a coma? "I'll be there as soon as I can. Thank you for calling."
"Well if it wasn't for Aaron's pestering we wouldn't have called for another week, so thank him once you get here. Bye." The line went dead as the nurse hang up.
I don't need to get ready, so I grab my purse, put on a jacket and get in my car to get to Phoenix Drop Hospital, which is about a 15 minute drive from my house.
I start the car and pull out of my driveway and flash back to the crash.

"Aaron! Please wake up! Aaron, it's going to be ok. I got you, it's going to be ok you're going to be ok." I held his head in my hands as blood drips off the side of my face down my arm. I really don't care about the throbbing in my head.
He blinks weakly and focuses on something behind me. "Aaron, look at me, it's going to be ok." His head tilts back and his eyes close.
"Aaron! No! Wake up! Wake up! You're going to be fine! AARON!!"

I get to the hospital and take the elevator to the 4th floor and room 212 to see Aaron lying in a pristine hospital bed with a heart monitor, monitoring the steady beat of his heart.
When he sees me, his eyes light up. "Oh my God Aphmau."
I can't help but walk as fast as i can to him and hug him. "Oh my God Aaron, I thought I'd never see you again. I am so, so, so, so sorry, it salk my fault i brought it up i'm so sorry." I rambled on and on and quickly broke down crying.
"Shhh, look at me" I pull away and look into his eyes. " it wasn't your fault, I should have waited to talk about it I pushed you to tell me what was bothering you and I'm so sorry." He pulls me into another hug and I gladly accept it.
"But I got out with a concussion and you almost died in a coma!" I sobbed into his shoulder.
"I'm okay now, the doctor said I can go home in about two weeks, just to make sure I don't have any permanent brain damage. Until then, I guess I'm stuck here for a while." He smiles weakly.
"Oh you don't have to worry about that. I'll basically live here for two weeks with you. And maybe I'll even bring you actual good food once in a while." I wipe my face with the back of my hand and smile.
Aaron gives me one of those smirks he used to give me in highschool. "You better."
We both laugh together for the first time in more than a month.
