You lost Colby!

"COLBY!!!!" Sam screams, pointing the flashlight around. There's more noises and I feel myself gripping Jakes hoodie.
   We then see a flashlight sprinting towards us, "Colby!" I yell. "Just get in the tent" he says out of breath, unzipping the tent and everyone gets in. We were short a sleeping bag so I gotta share with Jake. We decided to try and relax, and Jake was sleeping, I laid beside him and rubbed his arm.  His eyes fluttered open as he embraced me in his arms and held me. I slowly drifted asleep, warm and cozy.
"Woah Woah did you hear that" I hear Corey whisper to Sam. Everything got dead quiet as we heard banging close by. I feel everyone jump up including Jake, which made my heart pound.
"Open the tent!" Colby yelled as Sam was unzipping it. "Light... Light! LIGHT I CANT SEE ANYTHING" Sam yells scared and someone finally gave him a flashlight, and everyone is stepping out the tent as I hold a lantern.
I held the Lantern as I feel my converses soak in dew and mud. My heart was pounding so hard I felt my veins pulsing and I could hear my heart beat. It was dead quiet and we heard whispers.
"YO YO YO WHO DID THAT?" Sam says. "Um... idk, something is trying to reach out to us. So all I can really say is talk to it" I suggest. "No way" Corey says, I was almost frozen by how much unexplainable stuff was happening. A loud scream happens and everyone runs. Including me, I ran so fast, I didn't know to where. I just... ran. Until I realized I wasn't on the path anymore. I took a 360 view and all there was, was fog and trees. No fire, no path, no one familiar. Just me... and the shadow again.. I screamed as loud as I could and started running again. My lanterns bulb burned out. "No no no nonononono!" I screamed, dropping it while running, and my running turned into sprinting. I could hear my converses hitting the ground heavy, as my hands lifted to my chest at every footstep I made, my breath was getting heavy, my adrenaline was running and my heart was hurting from fear. I slammed into someone... Jake. "Woah!" He says, holding me. I breathed heavily. "What was it? Are you okay?!" He asked. "Shadow... again... can... we... please... go" I say in between breaths. Jake looks at Sam. "The cabin?" Colby says. Everyone nods. "Okay pack what you need and haul it to the car. We'll be back in the morning" Sam says and I do exactly as said. I wait patiently in the car and Jake sits to my right and Corey on my left.
We left the woods to go to the safe cabin...at least I hope it's safe. It honestly started storming on the way to the cabin. Like great, just our luck. My anxiety was still bad from earlier.

We finally arrived at the cabin, we ran from the car to the cabin. It was pouring. Sam looked for the key, but he couldn't find it. "Sam?" I ask. "Yea?" He says, looking at me. "Everything okay?" I ask, squatting down. "I just had the key but now it's gone" he says.
"Wait. You lost the key?" Corey says.
"No it was in this pocket" he says, stressed out and running to the car.
"Okay well all I'm gonna say is you're being a little irresponsible, you lost Colby and now the key" Corey says.
"Corey, it was an accident" I say. "I don't wanna go back to those woods" he says. "Neither do I but he accidentally lost the key, maybe we will find it back at the woods" I say. Sam looks sad and he's panicking.
I crouch beside of him and wrap my arm around his shoulder. "It's okay, we all misplace things." I say, looking at him. He looks at me, "I didn't mean to" he puts his head in his hands. "I know, it was an honest mistake, come on, let's head back to the woods" I say, standing up. "We will find that key!" Jake says.
And we headed back to the woods, getting in the tent to try to get some sleep. We sat up talking and joking around. We hear breathing against the tent, Corey freezes. "Did y'all just hear that?" He asks, we all nod, getting out the tent. "Hello?!" I yell out. Nobody answers. Jake pulls me back in the tent, "let's just ignore it guys, it's becoming too much it's probably an animal so stay in the tent" Jake says. We zip the tent up, lay down and go to sleep.
