Name: Kagura Takanishi

Age: 18

District: 9

Sex: Female

Appearance: Kagura has medium-long length jet black hair that falls into waves, which she can either wear down or in a loose and messy braid. To match is porcelain-like olive-colored skin, dark brown eyes, and stands at a height of 5'6, and weight of 130, with a slender and thin body. She may not look like she comes from the Districts, but she's way more than a person could ever think.

Personality: Kagura may seem like an angel, but don't let her looks fool you. She's very sarcastic, rude, protective, fearless, and thick-skinned. To put it simply, she's cold. Ice cold, to put it. She used to be warm loving and happy as a little girl, and there is still some inside of her, not completely turning her into a cold person, but it abruptly stopped all so suddenly and she slowly became who she is. But for a reason why.

Background: As said before, Kagura, named Ayano Miyu at the time, as a child was loving and caring. She had a normal life with her mother and father, and her older brother, Simon, in District 11. They were poor, but happy. However, She was stripped of all that happiness. Her father and mother got a divorce when she was just nine. One night, a fight broke out, and soon, her father was out the door. Kagura always remember the regretting look her father gave her before leaving, and it never left her. Her father has always been the only ray of light in her life, the one parent whom she could trust and love whole-heartedly, while her mother would always abuse Kagura and Simon behind his back, beating both of them up until large bruises would show on their skins. Ever since he disappeared, Kagura would always pin the blame on her mother for making him leave so suddenly; the bruises their mother inflicted onto them that never disappeared didn't help either. Each day, her anger towards her mother made her stronger and more furious until one night, she lost control over herself, and while her mother was about to strike once again, she, with her brother hiding, overpowered her and killed her. Kagura, realizing what she had done, never regretted her actions. Eventually, word got out, and Peacekeepers tried to arrest Kagura, but with her brother, she escaped the District, while their home was burned to the ground and traveled all the way to 9, where they changed their identities for the sake of protection, and were accepted. The events of her father leaving and her mother's sudden death changed Kagura personally, and she slowly transformed into the person she is now. She and her brother are determined to keep each other alive and over the years trained with mass weaponry, combat defense and attack for the past nine years. And learn the most important rule: never trust anyone else but yourself when it comes to dangerous people. Yet never in a million years would Kagura expect to be in the Hunger Games, but once her name was drawn, she is determined to win; she's not scared of the other tributes nor won't allow any of them to take her down.

Reaped or Volunteered: reaped

Preferred Weapons: her top three: Tekko-Kagi (metal hand claws), Sai (triple pronged short sword) and Chigiriki (Japanese version of a mace and morning star)

Token: Her Father's gold wedding ring. She always wears it around her neck with a simple purple ribbon, as a reminder of him, knowing that he's always with her, in spirit, to protect and guide her.

Other: she claims that if there was a quote that defined her, it'd be: "Only two kinds of people exist in this world; those who steal and those who are stolen from. And that day, I was robbed of my Happiness....never again"
