Name: Rewt Garrison
Age: Seventeen
District: Seven
Sex: Male
Physical Appearance: Perhaps its the way his eyebrows are burrowed, or his narrow eyes that favour his Mother's side, Rewts features, though soft, are often stony and serious. This laughably compliments his sarcastic nature and makes it difficult to read him. He has short honey blonde hair that he styles spiked and disorderly. Muddy brown eyes, for lack of a better description; they accurately reflect that of the dense earth flooring of Seven's forests. With a height just falling short of six foot, he has a slightly muscular frame, developed from having already laboured a few years in the lumber yards and the forests.
Personality: Rewt is an energetic, confident, brash, and informal individual. His spirited attitude is magnetic but he makes a habit of staying clear of regular social environments and is untrusting. He cares very little for people, attitudes or circumstances that would seek to hold him back; he relies mostly on his playful disposition to work his way around someone should he ever need to. The most 'chaotic' and unconventional of his rather traditional brothers, he is naturally curious and finds a passion for uncovering the taboo or unknown.
However, there is no inherited wisdom: he leads with blind optimism, barreling through life with an electric joie de vivre that perfectly complements his distinctive impulsivity. He's the kind of person to think after he leaps, which often results in lessons learned the hard way.
Mostly, he's uncomplicated and direct in his methods, he often gets frustrated by exhaustive details and unnecessary nuances. The few people that know him well have often seen a more dimensional side to him, beyond the social cynicism. One that's ferociously instinctive and can demonstrate unparalleled empathy.
Background: Rewt himself remembers very little about the Dark Days, just as little as he remembers about the time before the Dark Days. He knows his father died, but can't quite remember how, when or why. His Mother, Clementine, would be too upset and get angry if the boys asked questions, so they stopped asking after a while.
Rewt is the fifth of seven brothers. Arrlo, Flint, Clay, Landon, Byte and Reed. Rewt's uncle, Douglas, is the Mayor of District Seven... regrettably the very unfortunate Mayor who's signature represents District Seven in the treaty of Treasons. His uncle is proud of this of course but tends to keep his head down. No one would openly oppose him, at the point District Thirteen abandoned the rebellion, hope was lost, and there were rumours of Mayors that refused to sign the treaty being 'removed' from office until someone more compliant was found. Still, there are a few rebellion diehards that survived the cull that still whisper bitter disdain toward him. There are a few that would use this as a means of insults toward Rewt, perhaps it can be said that's why he often distances himself from his family.
Reaped or Volunteered: Reaped
Weapon of Choice: Unsurprisingly, Rewt is no stranger to an axe. With the idea of the Hunger Games still fresh in everyone's heads, it seems like impossible odds to most people, but too unfavourable odds to others. It'd be dishonest for Rewt to say he and his friends hadn't occasionally imagined themselves reaped and shipped off to the arena. Since the Dark Days, the ban and regulation of weaponry in Districts has been severe. Depending on your view, District Seven are amongst the lucky few that have access to weaponry and tools. Many of the children, Rewt included, would be foolish not to take advantage of that.
Token: Ornate wooden leaf pendant necklace with copper plated chain.
