Anna came an hour after Marko left and she was acting happy even though I could see she was hurt. Annette on the other hand was over the mood after all she missed Elijah a lot. After arguing the whole day with Anna, she finally agreed to let Annette stay with me for a week at least.
The next morning came and Anna was ready to go back to New York. She kept avoiding any topics about Marko and I actually didn't push her to tell me what happened between them. I thought Annette would cry seeing her mother leave her alone with me but honestly she chose Elijah over her. Which I think is cute because Elijah is her brother.
"Anne are you sure you going to be happy staying here with me?" I asked Annette as soon as we came back from the airport.
"Yes aunty." She replied excited. "Now aunty can we play please, I promise I won't break anything."
"You can't play outside Anne but you can play in Elijah's room if you want." She jumped excited and ran straight to Elijah's room. "Eli go play with your sister, I'll look after Emily."
"Okay mommy." He left and I sat down on the couch with Emily. At least now it's only me and my children with no stress. Geneva left me alone, Charlotte doesn't care about me. Lisa and Nichols left. Marko and Anna are probably fighting to even annoy me and Benjamin finally let me alone. This day can't get any better. I'm really happy I don't have anyone to give me stress anymore.
The door bell kept ringing but I didn't bother opening it after all everyone I know is suppose to leave me alone. Benjamin did promise so who else would be knocking on my door now.
"Aunty, are you going to be like mommy." Annette shouted running downstairs. "Someone is knocking."
"Annette go play with Elijah, I'll open it after a few more minutes. I promise." I assured her and she left. I hope whoever is at the door - leaves now.
The few minutes went passed by and I quickly got up to answer the door. Never in my wildest dream did I ever imagine she of all people would be here. What does she even want from me after everything she has done to me. Why can't she just leave me alone like everyone else? Did she have to come here today of all the days.
"What do you want Mary?" I asked angry and she smiled at me.
"Sofia, I came to apologize to you my child. I missed you---."
"Listen Mary, if you came here for that than you wasting your time. You fifteen years late." I said interrupting.
"Sofia please just listen to me. I promise I'll leave you alone after this." She begged and I closed the door at her face. She's really worse than Benjamin. At least he never did what she did to me. What she made me go through.
After a few hours later and we had lunch, I quickly opened the door to check if she was still there and she was. She didn't even move from her spot.
"Why don't you go home?" I shouted and she looked at me.
"You just like your father, stubborn." She replied. "But Sofia, I'm not going anywhere until I ask for your forgiveness. I'm sorry for everything my child. I wish I believed you over Martin. I know what I did was wrong and nothing I do or say will ever change what he did to you but please believe me when I say, I'm sorry." She was crying as if she knows what I have been through. "Sofia, I just want your forgiveness before I die."
"Why do you think about death only now?" I asked and she wiped her tears.
"Stella already knows I'm dying. I asked her to tell you and Stephanie but you know Stella is the only one that is different. She chased me away and threatened to kill me if I don't leave Stephanie and you alone. Sofia I don't have much time my child. That's why before I die I just want my three children to forgive me. That's my only wish so that when I die, I will be at peace."
