Rio
Reaching down into the edge of my seat, I search for the small engagement ring box - my hands slightly quivering causing nothin' but difficulty for doing so. And once I find it, I lean back onto the leather seat - the driver side door still wide open from my rush.
Body leaned back, the shoulders under my suit are tense when I look over to see Victoria fiddling for the house keys. That in which I snuck in possession myself, just for her to stay put, right on the front porch where I want her.
I bite down on my lip, peeking down at the tiny box now plastered in my sweaty palms.
I'm completely, and overwhelmingly devoted to her. I have been for as long as I can think back. And when she got that tattoo, the only tat that values our gang, willingly... I lost it. Then and there I knew, I gotta spend the rest of my life with her; I haven't wished more harder on anything else.
"Rio I don't think this is the right key. Do you have it on you?" I hear Victoria shout - her back still turned when I jolt my attention toward the front porch her curvy figure stands upon. And beneath the luxurious tux, the pounding inside my hard chest goes off in alarm - pounding incessantly in my ears. My nerves begin pumping mercilessly.
I slip out my BMW and shut the door behind my back. With the box still in hand, I rush up behind her. Trying to keep a low profile, in silence, I kneel down behind her.
And for the first time, in a very long time, I swallow. Hard.
She starts to turn around, standing tall in her black heels; her visibly smooth legs are the view right before my face. Heart racing, I watch her face the direction of the moonlit yard that's over my shoulder. I brush my tongue across my lips, in a trance at the irresistible sight of her.
Then finally, her brown irises that hold a sparkle, meet mine. My hands are reached out in display of the small box - the diamond ring I purchased about a week ago dazzling under the porch light behind her short figure. I watch her take the 6/8 carat diamond ring in recognition. Her bold brown eyes widen.
I take in a sharp breath, staring up at her. "I meant what I said earlier. I am greatly glad that I met you, right on the side of those abandoned train tracks. You crashed into me, alright." I say, lips twitching. I lick my lips quickly again. "I love you, Victoria Stone. You deserve the world. I promise to give that to you." I continue, my voice flowing in rawness.
"And I want to spend the rest of my days with you. Every second of every hour I want to be by your side. Because you, and only you, shape me into the man I wanna be, darlin'." I conclude, truthfully, never removing my lost gaze from her own. Her light brown eyes are teary, sparkling as if they belonged with the stars above us both. I break into a smile, a wide and toothy one. I glance down to the wooden porch, a second, in gratitude that the excessive pounding inside my chest has consoled.
But soon enough, my gaze locks on hers inevitably, again. I can't take my eyes off of her - while the genuine smile still tugs at my moistened lips.
"Will you marry me?" I ask her huskily, while searching either of her teary irises in wait.
The queen stands in shock, still processing it all, I imagine.
And finally, her soft pink lips part open - curving up simultaneously. Then the smile plasters, widely.
A content chuckle, following behind a relieved breath, escapes me the moment she hurriedly nods her head.
"Yes. Of course, yes!" She beams, her soft voice slightly cracked but infallible. I hurry to my feet, to align my gaze with hers. And I gently remove the engagement ring from the box, as she reaches out her hand.
The diamond ring slips on her ring finger just right, perfectly, and glistens under the crescent moon high above. I fail miserably at holding back a triumphant grin. And I chuckle just before I pull her into me - into an electrifying embrace when my body presses against hers. And it's then when I'm engulfed in her floral scented perfume, alongside her strawberry shampoo that washes over me every time - not at all that I mind.
I can almost hear the smile in her delicate voice, when she speaks again. "I love you so much." She breathes against me, and I feel my eyelids flutter shut. In return, I smirk absentmindedly.
"Good." I start lowly, carefully releasing her before her own arms drop deliberately to her side. I latch onto her bold brown eyes - my own conquered with desire.
"Because you thought I rocked your world before, darlin'..." I add rawly, backing her up only within two steps for her back to hit the closed front door. I place a hand next to her head, my now settled palm flat on the door's wooden surface. Her sparkling eyes flick up on mine, from where they lingered on my lips seconds ago. I can't rid my grin.
"...Oh you just wait." I whisper against her, slowly, teasingly, leaning into her shorter figure. I passionately press my lips against hers, tilting her chin up with my finger.
