It's like an immense readiness at it's most intense; fluxing through every vein. The nervousness, if there ever has been a sliver, has run it's course. And the steady excitement? Twined in reality.

This is it. I'm looking towards the rest of my days - next to my partner, that is. And the surreal peace that's picking up within my heart is inevitable.

I couldn't want time on today's clock to swift by any more slowly. I'm striving to take in every single moment.

And more than anything, am I ready to see him.

I take the bouquet of roses into my hands, squeezing onto the thick stems tightly. As I feel the veil gently brush against my back a moment, in my long wedding dress, I suck in a calming breath.

OK, so maybe I'm slightly nervous.

Still inside the shack, I quietly open the door and step out - soon spotting Ann out in the small hall as expected. Her hazel specks immediately meet mine.

And that's it - I can't retain my smile. I send my younger sister a once over in awe, observant as she stands in her burgundy maid of honor dress. And it's almost like my unsuppressed smile is contagious when she does the same.

Her gaze noticeably perceptive, Ann's jaw drops. "Sis! You look stunning!" She blurts in fascination, gazing at the dress I vesture. "Stunning isn't even the word..." she adds.

A grin spreads across my face. "You look amazing, Ann." I start. "In fact, amazing isn't even the word..." I add seemingly in a teasing afterthought, watching her interest exceed as she perches her brows.

"Hm, what's the word?" She asks casually, her glossed lips twitching. I smile.
"Exquisite." I inform, truthfully - earning an approved and grateful grin in turn.
And suddenly, my sister straightens up. "Alright, ready?"

That's when I hear the low and current soothing song reach it's ending; signally for Ann to start heading out. I revert my alert gaze onto her from there it was on the exiting double doors.

Outside of this very wooden shack stands everyone waiting. And at the alter across the field - him.

My teeth tug at my lip when I quickly nudge her arm with raised brows. "It's your go." I whisper, forming an excited smile. Ann sends me a wink, before hurriedly nodding.

She then breaks into a smile... before quietly squealing. "This is it!" She pipes. "I'll see you out there." Ann hurries to the double doors, and I hurry to hide behind the corner. And when they open, I peek around the corner to see her exit.

And the music soon comes to an end.

This is it.

I grasp onto my bouquet even tighter. I merely swallow, and walk up to the double doors when they're shut once more.

I know that at your average wedding there is a man to walk the bride down the isle. Will I be getting escorted? No. But I am without a doubt impeccably OK with that - and I still feel like nothing here can be any more perfect.

I bite my lip, my heart begins it's task at racing for such a moment. The overwhelming excitement still coils.

And a new song, the song, begins to play behind the wooden doors. I feel my lips twitch; the anticipation to finally see my fiancé pulsates.
