Brie's P.O.V
"Colby!" My lungs were on fire as I chased down Colby in the hallways. His laughs filled the halls as I was running after him.
It might wonder what would drive a woman, especially someone's girlfriend, to go after them in between classes, well that is easy.
Colby has planted over a thousand pieces of beads, yes, beads, in my locker and the second I opened my locker they all came pouring out.
The principal, Mr. Jenkins, told me that I had to pick them all up, and I had detention starting next week.Of course, he gave the giggling Colby a pointed look and asked if he had anything to do with the beads in my locker.
Colby, innocent as ever (sarcasm), lied and said that he had nothing to do with it.
Though the smile on his face clearly told otherwise.
The second the principal was back in his office, I went after Colby.
I swear that boy is lucky that he is on the track team and can run because I sure as hell can't catch up to him. His evil, giddy laughs were, however, motivating me more than ever.
Suddenly, a voice made me stop running, "Elliot! I am going to kill you!"
I froze and looked back, just in time to see Kimberly glaring at Elliot who just ran past me.
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as to what he could have done to make her so mad.
I walked over to Kimberly, but hesitantly, for I thought she might still be mad at me.
Her brown eyes gazed at me, but held no anger, at least for me. "Wanna help me kill Elliot?" She asked as she bent down.
Just then I noticed all over the floor was roses, looking over I saw her locker was filled with them.
"Ha-ha, it seems we both have been pranked by our lovers," I commented with a small smile.
Standing straight Kimberly gave me a confused look, "Our lovers? What are you talking about?"
It was then I realized I hadn't told Kimberly I was dating Colby. "Ummm ... wanna come over to my house after school?" I asked. "There are a few things I need to talk to you about..."
Kimberly nodded, "ditto ... I will stop by the store and pick up some Chunky Monkey and I'll meet you at your house."
"Okay, sounds like a plan..."
With that Kimberly and I went our separate ways. Something in the pit of my stomach made me think that Kimberly wanted to talk to me seriously about something, and it wasn't good.
"Hey! Brie!" I looked behind me at the voice that called out to me. I saw that it was Mason but he looked completely different. His normal black hair was brown, which looked more natural ... and his clothes weren't all black, getting rid of the depressing aura he had before hand ... I wondered what had gotten him to change.
"Hey, what's up?" I questioned as he got closer.
"Sheldon said there's a newspaper meeting after school. I was just letting you know."
"Shit..." I muttered.
Mason glanced down at me with his icy blue eyes, "something wrong? If it's a ride, I can take you home afterward, we can even grab a bite to eat after the meeting if you are down."
I shook my head, "no it's not that. Kimberly is wanting to talk to me about something really important and she is coming over to my house after school."
"Oh ... Do you want me to cover for you and just call you when the meeting is over? I'll tell you what happened."
My green eyes lit up as I found that was the perfect solution. "Yes! Please!"
"Alright, so I will talk to you later," he stated with a smile.
"Okay..." with that Mason went to walk away, but I realized I wanted to ask him something. "Hey, wait!"
Mason twisted around and looked at me, "yeah."
"What's with the new look?" I inquired.
Mason smiled, "thought a change would be good."
I nodded, "well, you look nice, and the girl you are trying to impress is very lucky."Mason cleared his throat, "I-I ... I am not trying to impress a girl," he stated with a shocked expression.
"Whatever you say," I murmured with a smirk before walking away.
