Kimberly’s P.O.V
“If I didn't know any better, I’d say you were a kidnapper,” I spoke once I was buckled into Elliot’s car and he was driving down a road.
Glancing away from the road, and at me, Elliot grinned, “Hey, I didn't make you get in my car, you came on your own free will.” Elliot told me as he turned his attention back on the street before him.
I twisted my head to look in the back seat. “Tell that to my books and backpack that was rudely tossed into your back seat.”
Elliot gave a deep chuckle as his eyes stared up into the rear view mirror, giving him a perfect view of my things in the back seat. “You act as if they are real beings.”
“Touché,” I spoke as he turned down the main road to town. “Hey, where are we going?” I asked Elliot when I realized I’d no idea where he was taking me.
“Where do you want to go?” He asked me.
I gave a silent shrug of my shoulders, not really finding the mood for anything in particular to do. “I don’t know...”
With a small sigh Elliot pulled into the parking lot of a Walgreens (a drug / general needs store), he put his car in park and faced me. “I will be right back, lock the doors when I get out,” he ordered, before getting out of the car.
Once he was out, I did as he said and locked the doors. Watching, I saw his figure retreat into the store. Silence consumed me in the car, and I looked over at his radio. Reaching out, I turned it on, to find it already on one of my favorite stations. While waiting, I couldn't help but wonder what he was doing. It felt like a lifetime before I saw him head out of the Walgreens and make his way to the car.
When he got to the door I unlocked it.
“What did ya get?” I quizzed once he opened the door.
“I bought the best movies ever made!” He told me as he flung a plastic bag at me.
Catching it in mid air, I brought the bag down to my lap. As I opened the plastic bag, I saw that he purchased The Lord of The Rings series. “They sell these here?”
Elliot nodded and started to drive. “Ummm, would you mind if we went to your place?”
“Why mine?” I inquired with curiosity.
“My mother works at home, and I don’t think she would like me home in the middle of a school day with a girl.”
“Oh, so you're a momma’s boy?”
Elliot quickly gave me a sour look before continuing to pay attention to the road. “Just because I don’t want to upset my mother, doesn't necessarily categorize me as a momma’s boy.”
“Yes it does,” I proclaimed.
As if I agreed to go to my place, Elliot turned down my street, “No, Kim, it doesn't.”
I looked over at Elliot to see that he was looking a little mad; with a small smile on my face I knew I just found his anger button. So, I made a mental note that next time he pisses me off I will call him a momma’s boy...

“Hey, Elliot?” I glanced over at Elliot, who was sitting next to me on the couch.
His eyes looked away from the television screen that was playing the end credits of the second movie. “Yeah?”
“Do you ... Do you know anything about what is going on with Brie and Colby?” I asked with interest.
“I know a little, why?” Elliot questioned.
“Oh, it’s just that ... Brie and I aren't really talking ... I wanted to know what happened between her and Colby.”
Elliot clicked off the DVD player and turned around on the couch so he was fully facing me. “I will tell you ... for a kiss.”
My heart started to pound so hard that I wondered if it would leap out of my chest. My lungs began to feel as if someone was holding them, constricting my breathes. “A ... k-kis-s-ss?”
Elliot nodded.
Don’t kiss him, Kim ... you know with just one touch of his lips on yours that you will want more.
“I ...”
“You know you don’t have to kiss me.”
I sighed in relief, “Oh, good ... so what is going on with Brie and your friend?”
Elliot gave me an odd expression, as if I was crazy, “I’m not forcing you to kiss me, but the deal of telling you about Brie and Colby will and is still standing.”
“This is blackmail.”
“Blackmail or not, it’s the deal,” Elliot stated.
My brown eyes stared down at his lips. Suddenly, I felt as if my mouth was dry, and I needed to kiss him, “Just ... just one kiss?”
“Scouts honor,” Elliot exclaimed.
As if there was a fire under me, I lifted off the couch and stood in front of Elliot. My head slowly bent down and became closer and closer to Elliot’s. It wasn't but a matter of milliseconds later that I was kissing Elliot, and a matter a few seconds after that that I was laying down on the couch with him hovering over me.
Every part of me was screaming and yearning for Elliot.
Yet, I knew deep down that I had to stop his tantalizing mouth from putting me into a hunger trance for more and more.
I placed my hand on his chest as he deepened the kiss. With a slight shove, I managed to make him stop. “You got more than your one kiss,” I spoke breathlessly.
Smirking, Elliot got off me and took a seat at the end of the couch. His panting breath made me glad that I was not the only one missing oxygen.
Sitting up I looked at him, “Now, your end of the deal.”
“I ... I don’t know much,” he breathed, “all I know is Colby is avoiding Brie and she is avoiding him.”
“Why?”
“Before they got together ... before his dad died ... he signed up for the army. Well, last week he found out that he was accepted into the military and that in a few months he will be deployed. I think the two of them have it in their heads that if they avoid one another that his leaving will not crush their hearts.”
I slumped in the couch and began to think ... “... that is absolutely dim-witted of them to think such a thing.”
Elliot nodded, “I know.”
“We have to do something,” I said.
“I don’t think we should get involved.”
“Why not?”
“Because this is their affair, not ours ... Anyways, they will probably work it out before he leaves.”
“What if they don’t?” I quizzed.
Elliot gave a shrug of his shoulders, “I dunno.”
I gave a huff in frustration and decided that if Elliot didn't want to help me, then I would do it by myself!<><><><><><><><><><><><>
