"Good morning, my queen." you heard Peggy say but didn't want to leave your bed to face James again.

"Leave me here, Peggy. I beg you." you half opened your eyes, hiding your face on the soft pillows.

"James and your parents are waiting for you to have breakfast." she opened the curtains and you protested, sitting on the bed.

"James can starv, I don't care. He barely looked at me last night, Peggy. Maybe I'm not pretty enough on his eyes or maybe he already has someone else to warm his bed every night," you started to rambling.

James' rejection hurt you more than you thought it would. You wish you could go back home and forget about the wedding and everything else. But that's not an option, you're a queen now and have to face the consequences. Maybe you released too late that your feelings for him weren't reciprocated, that after all those years he was just fooling around with you.

"Give him some time, (Y/N). We know he's not over his parents tragic death. You need to be patient." Peggy squeezed your hand. "And you're beautiful, if James doesn't see that, he's a dumb bastard." her last words made you laugh.

"You're right, Peggy. If that's what he wants, I'm not blaming myself anymore."

"Let's put your most beautiful dress and I'll braid your hair perfectly. I'm sure the king will regret about his decision."

When you arrived at the dinning room, accompanied by Peggy, your parents and James stood up, as you approached the table. James motioned to help you to seat but you ignored him.

"I can seat by myself, thank you." you said and he went back to his seat at the edge of the table.

"Is everything alright, daughter?" your mother asked, feeling your distress.

"Everything is perfect, mother." you avoided James' eyes, grabbing a piece of bread.

"I hope there will be children running around this castle soon enough! It's too quiet around here." your father spilled out and James coughed, you looked at him with a smirk on your lips.

"I'm sure it will be soon, father. James couldn't take his hands off me last night." Peggy muffle her laugh and James' face turned into a bright shade of red.
