The sun was already settled in the sky when you woke up but Bucky was still sleeping deeply. You took your time to bath and make him a soup, like Wanda said to you. He would probably be hungry when he wakes up. With Peggy's help you were back to the chamber just after a few minutes, just in time to hear Bucky calling your name.

"(Y/N)?"

"I'm right here, my love." you held his hand as he slowly opened his eyes.

"What happened?" he asked.

"You almost died, James. That's what happened." you didn't want to sound angry but you failed and he held your hand on his own.

"I'm sorry, my queen." his lips twisted on a smile and you couldn't get mad at him after all.

"I was so worried about you. That was a suicide mission, you have to promise me that you'll never do something stupid like that again." you held his head while he drank some water.

"I promise you, (Y/N). I swear that I'll never leave your side again." you smiled as you put the pillows behind his back.

"Good, I don't want to raise a child without her father." you simply said and Bucky looked at you quizzically and his eyes widened.

"W-What do you mean? Are you...?Are we? What?" you giggled.

"You're going to be a father, Bucky." you took his right hand and put it on your belly. In this moment you were both crying and Bucky sat on the mattress, pressing his lips on yours.

"I love you with all my heart, (Y/N). You're making me the happiest man in the world. You're my everything, my queen."

"I love you too, James. I always have and always will." you kissed him again but Bucky hissed in pain and laid back down.

"Dammit!" he cursed under his breath.

"You need to rest and most of all right now, you need a bath. You're stinking." you chuckled.

"Very romantic of you to say that, (Y/N)." he ran his fingers through his hair. "My God! I'm going to be a father!"

"C'mon Bucky, let me help you." you help him out of bed and to the bath you left ready for him. You helped Bucky to strip his clothes and he entered the bathtub.

You started to wash his hair, washing away the blood that turned the water into a light shade of red. Bucky relaxed under your touch as you massage his scalp, the lavander essence you choose filling the air.

"Why don't you join me, my queen?" Bucky kissed your knuckles and intertwined your fingers together.

"You need to recover first, James." you stated and he frowned.

"I'll behave. I promise you."

Bucky watched as you took of your dress and your eyes never left his when you finally joined him, the water embracing both of you. You rested your back on his chest and his hands rested on your belly.

"I love you both so much. You and my little princess." he kissed your shoulder and you turned around to face him.

"Princess? Do you want a little girl?" you smiled and Bucky captured your lips on his.

"It's just a feeling but I wouldn't mind having a little you running around the castle." Bucky held you closer to him and you rested your head on his bare chest.

"Let's wait and see then, my king."
