"Bucky! I'm trying to read!" you giggled as he pressed kisses down your neck and shoulder. Let's say that after your first night together, James was much more... closer to you. Your days were filled with kisses and holding hands and the nights were warmer as you both made love together.

"You smell heavenly, my queen." his lips grazed your ear and you closed the book in your hands, your concentration was long gone.

His hands cupped your breasts as he attacked your neck, your right hand tangled on his long hair, caressing his scalp.

"I need to show you something. It's a surprise." you spoke almost breathlessly. You stood up and Bucky sighed as he pouted his lips.

"Do you like to torture me, don't you (Y/N)?" you kissed his lips, running your fingers on his hair.

"Patience, my king. Now follow me." you took his hand and you both walked outside the castle.

"Close your eyes, James." you said as soon you both reached the wood door.

"As you wish, my queen." you held his hands on yours, guiding him to the garden.

"I know your mother loved her flowers and gardening. I spent the last few months working on here. Peggy helped me too. I hope you like it." you smiled. "You can open your eyes now."

As soon as James opened his eyes, he smiled widely seeing what you did. His mother's garden was full of life again, flowers blossoming and he could hear the birds singing. It was perfect, it was home.

"I don't know what to say... Thank you, (Y/N)." tears streamed down his cheek and you took them away with your thumb, placing your lips on his for a second.

"I'm glad you liked it, Bucky. I was hoping to making you feel better, your parents are still here with us." he kissed your knuckles, caressing the back of your hand.

"I love you with all my heart, (Y/N). I'm sorry for treating you with less than you deserved. I was a fool." you held his hand, walking through the flowers.

"I love you too, James. Let's forget about the past shall we?" you smiled.

"Actually, I remember when we were kids. We ran around this place to hide and seek. Do you remember?" he stopped on his tracks, placing his arms around your waist.

"I do... You were terrible. I always found you in less than two seconds." you remarked and he laughed.

"That's not true!" he kissed you and if this is happiness, you wish it will last forever.
