Michael
"Okay, so they aren't dating?"
"Nah, just fucking-"
"Shut up, Devante!"
"What? You have your proof right here!"
"Nah, they still have clothes on, see?"
"Oh, I can believe they're not dating, but them not liking each other is a damn lie."
"Shit, shut up Janet! He's waking up!"
I roll onto my back and rub my eyes feeling extreme comfort, but when I open them slowly, I jerk backwards and pull Aaliyah in my hold, back as well. Rebbie giggles.
"Aw, Michael! You look so cute cuddling your girlfriend!" She squeals and I close my eyes then bury my face into Aaliyah's neck. My arms wrap around her tightly and I grumble a bunch of annoyed words to give them the hint to get the hell out, but Devante chuckles.
"Nah, Mike discovered cuddling without sex and he likes it! He's not moving until she wakes up." He explains and Janet whispers.
"That's so cute."
I start feeling this churning sensation in my stomach as Aaliyah starts to move and scoots into my embrace even closer. She starts to pull back and I let her go, only to hear her voice whisper out sleepily seconds later.
"What the fuck...?"
"Surprise sleeping beauty! Get up! You can help us move Michael's things." Janet announces and I grunt, grab Aaliyah and roll us over. She giggles and I open an eye to see her smiling at me.
"You're moving out?" She asked.
"Temporarily." I say and she nods, then leans forward and kissed my nose.
"Well get up so we can get started." She runs her hand through my curls and I furrow my brows at the fact that she just touched my hair and we're not having sex, and that I kind of liked it.
I watch her crawl out of my arms and then over me as she gets off my bed completely. I remember the tension between Aaliyah and Latoya, so I quickly turn over to see Aaliyah standing close to Rebbie and Janet while Latoya is by the door with a disapproving look on her face. She glanced at me, then at Aaliyah, rolls her eyes and leaves out the room. Aaliyah looks disappointed and lets out a sigh and I'm grateful when Rebbie comfort her and smiled.
"Don't worry about her, Aaliyah. Michael is your boyfriend so it's okay in a way." She reassured her and then looks over at me, winking.
She's up to something. Those two always are, Rebbie and Janet.
I stretch while laying down and sit up to see Aaliyah rubbing her arm awkwardly as everyone starts leaving out of the room after Latoya. Aaliyah grabs her shoes from the floor, indicating she's about to leave and something inside of me quickly makes me jump up and takes her shoes from her.
"Don't go." I say softly and she widens her eyes.
"Don't let Latoya ruin a good time. I thought we were still talking and getting to know each other? Don't let her stop us." I add on and she blushed.
"I just really don't want to intrude. She seems like she could really care less about me. I-I mean not like she should. We're not serious." She explains and I nod.
"I know, but she's doing this on purpose, trying to scare you away. Don't give her the satisfaction. Please, Aaliyah." I urge on. She sighs softly.
"Fine." She shrugs. I smiled and set her shoes back on the floor, then I wave her towards my door and she walks out. I walk out too and we end up in the living room with everyone else. Rebbie claps.
