Mia's POV
I opened my eyes slowly as I felt someone shaking me. Jackson was shaking me with worried eyes. I sat up and looked at him, relief flush over him.
"What happened" I said normally. Jackson and I both covered our ears. I spoke as I had normally done in the past, but it sounded like I was shouting loudly, but I knew for sure I wasn't.
"What was that?" Jackson whispered quietly, sounding like he was speaking normally. Whatever was going on it was weird.

"Am I going crazy or did our hearing just get a thousand times better?" I asked, making sure to be quiet.
"Yeah, I was thinking that as well, not only that, all of our senses have increased a lot." He whispered back. I thought for a minute and then realised, he was right. I could smell everything clearly, my sight was much better and more focused.
"Your right" I said taking a sniff of the air around us. I could tell by the scent that there was 26 people in the building, though I couldn't tell who or where. I turned my attention to Jackson as he too was sniffing the air. I sniffed the air once again, the scent of dog came to me, though it wasn't completely dog.

Jackson and I both looked at each other with puzzled looks.
"Why do you smell like dog?" We both Asked at the same time.
"Me, I smell like a dog? But you smell like a dog." I said
"Do I, to me you smell like a dog, not to sound rude or anything." Jackson said. I didn't really care if he called me a dog, to be honest I loved dogs.
"Okay, for arguments sake, let's just say, we both smell like dogs." I said calmly.

"Okay, I don't know about you, but I would like to know what's going on." Jackson said with a sliver of worry in his eyes. "Same" I agreed. We both looked towards the door as we heard faint footsteps coming this way. We both backed up against the wall, Jackson putting his arm in front of me, as sort of a protection. The door squealed as the metal door opened, revealing the man . He stood there with a blank expression and stared at us, as if waiting for something to happen.

Jackson's POV
I held my arm up to protect Mia, when the door squealed loudly, making me flinch from the piercing sound. The man in the lab coat stood there and stared at us. I felt fear as I looked at the man, after all he was the one he caused us so much pain. All of a sudden my body began to tingle all over, but I didn't take my eyes off of the man. After a few moments, the man looked at me wide eyed, not like something had shocked him, but like he was happy with his results. My body felt different as I lowered my arm.

"Jackson?" Mia said behind me. I tired to speak to tell her everything was gonna be okay, but all that came out was a series of whines and growls. I instantly looked down at myself, seeing two paws and fur all over my body. I began to freak out, looking at myself head to toe hysterically. I took a step, before falling face first into the ground.
"Well, I guess my experiment was a success." The man said smiling triumphantly. I laid on the ground, tying to keep calm, but I was unsuccessful.

I looked back at Mia who was looking at me with terror. I could tell that she was in terror for what just happened, but not for what I was. I could tell that I was a wolf from the tail but that didn't make it any less terrifying. I looked at her, scared out of my mind as she too began to turn into a wolf. As soon as she noticed she began to panic and whine, she tried to walk but even she fell over. I looked over at the man as he looked at us with an even bigger smile on his face

Someone approached from behind him, though I couldn't see who it was. He handed him two bowls, before the man in the lab coat came in. I growled at him fiercely as he came closer, he walked towards the right of the door and place the bowls down before exiting out the door, shutting and locking it behind him.

Mia and I locked at each other with worry. Mia and I were covered in grey fur, although we could still see colour which was a bonus considering i was told that dogs couldn't see colour. We both stood up on all fours and slowly walked over towards the bowls, once we got the hang of it, it was quite easy to walk. In the bowl on the left was water, and on the right was full of raw meat Chunks. I sniffed it carefully before looking at Mia, she too was sniffing the water and food, She looked up at me before taking a drink. After she was done I took a drink and began to eat, Mia doing the same. We both hadn't eaten in who knows hoe long and honestly raw meat tasted delicious, although it probably would've tasted disgusting if we hadn't been turned into wolves. After we were finished we both curled up in the corner of the room where we were before.

One good thing about being like this was we weren't cold anymore, but we still curled up together like before for comfort. I also noticed that we were a lot smaller than before as well, Unfortunately we were unable to communicate like this but it was better than being separated. After a while I felt the tingling sensation come back. I looked down at my body to see it turn back into a form that I was much more familiar with. Human. Thankfully all my clothes were the same as they were before, and weren't ripped. I looked at myself, with relief, at least I wouldn't be stuck as a dog. I looked up to see Mia turn back into a human as well, she looked at her body and exhaled deeply. I shivered as the cold air came to me, Mia noticing it as well.
