Chapter 11

Mia's POV
Jackson was on the floor, and Gorge stabbed him with a knife. I sat there, frozen in place, unable to move. Gorge had let go of my lead after punching Jackson in the face, but, I couldn't move, no matter how much I wanted to get out. What would I be able to do anyway, I couldn't fight, I was a weakling and I always have been. Everyone always just seemed so much stronger than I. All of a sudden, there was a loud explosion , I turned my head to see 5 people standing at the hole they had just created in the wall.

Jackson's POV
There was a loud explosion at the other end of the room, making me flinch. Gorge stood up slowly and turned around, I could hardly make it out, but there were 5 figures standing in the hole the explosion had made in the wall. I began to cough up blood in a huge coughing fit.
"JACKSON!!" I heard Mia yell. I opened my eyes to see her running towards me, ignoring Gorge who was standing next to me. She sat down next to me, with tears in her eyes. She grabbed the knife and pulled it out, causing me to yelp in pain. The pain soon faded as all my wounds finished healing and were back to normal. I slowly stood up and watched in awe.

The 5 figures were fighting everyone in the room, and before long everyone was defeated but Gorge. They stood in a line, they were all wearing a light grey jump suit. 2 of them were girls and 3 boys. I leaned against the wall for support as they started to talk.
"So, Gorge, you managed to perfect your experiment?" One of the boys with red hair asked. I looked between them, shocked. They knew each other, not only that, they appeared to know what Gorge had been doing.
"Perceptive as always." He said with a smile on his face. He turned towards Mia and I, than turned back towards the others. "This is Jackson" he said pointing at me " and this is Mia, my dogs." He said proudly.
"We're not your dogs." I yelled gaining everyone's attention.

"Whether or not you like it, you are my dogs. And there's nothing you can do to change that." He said smiling, before hitting me hard, making me fly into the other wall on my left. I hit the wall with great force, my bones and mussels ached.
"Why do you keep calling them your dogs?" Asked one of the girls of the group. Not paying attention to me. Mia was watching, as tears fell down her face. My blood began to boil, as the tingling sensation came back. I stood up in wolf form and began to snarl, making everyone look at me.

The group of strangers looked at me in shock, a few of them covering their mouths, with their eyes wide. I ignored them, my only target was Gorge. I snarled before I began to run at high speed. I pounced onto Gorge, making him fall to the ground. I began to bite him angrily, tearing through his flesh on his right arm, making blood Drizzle down onto the floor.

"GET OFF OF ME YOU MUTT!!!" Gorge said kicking me off of him, before running at me. He kicked me soo hard I felt my ribs all shatter. I yelped loudly as I coughed up blood. I stayed where I was, on the ground, shaking in pain.
"SERVES YOU RIGHT YOU DISGUSTING RODENT." Gorge yelled furiously, walking away from me, His arm was losing a lot of blood. He walked back to the small group as they looked at me in horror. probably because I was badly injured but also because I had turned into a wolf.

They turned their attention back to Gorge. They said a few things that I couldn't quite understand before fighting it out, five against one. My head was pounding and my ribs were on fire, I looked over at Mia as I lay on the floor in a puddle of blood. She had tears going down her face, turning her attention to me, then to the fight, then back to me. She finally snapped out of it and ran towards me. I was still in my wolf form so I couldn't tell her that I was be fine.

I began to yelp in pain as the sound of cracking bones filled the air. Even the group that was fighting Gorge stopped to look. I slowly sat up as I shifted back into my human form, Mia helping me up, worry in her eyes. I held my head groaning in pain.
"Jackson are you okay?" Mia asked looking at me.
"I think so." I Replied. The others soon turned their attention back to Gorge and continued to fight.

After a long while, the fight was finally over, with Gorge on the floor, breathing heavily. Everyone in the group was breathing heavily and I could tell, just by looking at them that they were exhausted. Mia and I continued to sit on the floor, watching Gorge in the ground. Two of the boys lifted Gorge and headed outside while the others came towards us.
"Are you alright kid?" Asked the girl with bright blond hair.
"Yeah" I replied.
"So What did Gorge do to you guys anyway?" The boy with red hair asked, with his hands on his hips.
"We don't know, he just tortured us and then injected us with something." Mia replied calmly
"I see, well you'd better come with us." The girl with blond hair said firmly

"Why?" Asked Mia.
"Because, you two aren't technically human anymore, you'd just be a danger to yourselves and those around you. But if you come with us, you'll be with people who have mutations and powers, although technically you didn't mutate, you were experimented on, but you'll be safer there than anywhere else."
"We're not going with you." I said firmly, "we just want to go home."
"I understand that, but it's not possible. You two clearly don't have control over your powers, you could end up transforming and killing someone." The boy with the red hair said
"We can learn, but we're not going with you, we don't even know you." I continued

"Jackson, you have to come with us, do you really want to hurt someone you care about, and be hunted because your different?" The girl with brown hair asked. I looked down at the ground. Mia gave me a slight nudge, I looked up at her, giving me a reassuring look. After a minute or two, I looked up at them
"Fine, we'll go." I replied, they all nodded their heads in agreement as Mia and I stood up and followed them outside.
