Chapter 15

Jackson's POV
"Brendon, just calm down" Mr Ross said calmly. But Brendon didn't calm down, he ignored Mr Ross as he glared at me with anger. "Brendon, stop it." Mr Ross continued. Mia and I were still leaning against the wall, watching what Brendon would do next, in fact, the whole class was doing the same thing. "I understand you don't like each other after this training exercise, but you both need to get over it. It's training, so what you fall over, you get punched. Big deal, grow up." Mr Ross said angrily.

"You Don't have the right to tell me to grow up." Brendon said still keeping his eyes on me. His hands were still enlarged, which made me keep my eyes on him.
"That's it... Charlotte." Mr Ross yelled.
"Yes." A girl stepped forward
"I want you to go get the headmistress." Mr Ross said, keeping his eyes on Brendon. The girl nodded and ran out of the room while Mr Ross tried to calm Brendon. Someone with powers who is very mad isn't very good. They could destroy things a lot easier than a normal person. That's probably why Mr Ross wasn't yelling at him or trying to physically stop him, he didn't want to risk the safety of others and be partly responsible for the destruction.

Suddenly Brendon's group walked through the crowd, they stopped in front of Brendon and looked at him.
"Brendon, look, just calm down, I don't know your getting so worked up, that kid's not worth it." Jake said, hands in his pockets. Brendon finally took his eyes of me and looked at his group. Jake, Felix and Jacob. They were all standing in a line in front of Mr Ross, all of their hands in the pockets.
"Whatever." Brendon said before returning to his normal size, and began to walk through the crowd, his group following close behind.

"Brendon, get back here." Mr Ross yelled, but after they ignored him he gave up. He exhaled deeply and walked over towards me. Everyone was still watching, and now all their eyes were on me.
"Jackson are you okay?" Mr Ross asked.
"Yeah." I said trying to calm down.
"Okay, Good, Don't worry about Brendon, you'd be best to stay away from him. Anyway, I will see to it that he is punished. Class dismissed." Mr Ross said as the bell rang loudly. The sound made me flinch as I covered my ears, as did Mia. For everyone else it would've just sounded like a normal bell, but to me and Mia, it was very loud. Mia and I walked out of the gym and headed to the garden, We both needed some fresh air. All our classes were finished for the day, so we had a few hours free time before we had to go to dinner.

"Well, that was intense." Mia said as we sat underneath a large tree. The back garden was huge, there was plants and trees everywhere, as well as a large lake in the middle, there was also a large field of grass towards the right. I nodded my head in agreement as we sat in silence. After a few minutes of peace Mia finally spoke up.
"So why did you retaliate? He was just a jerk." Mia asked. I shrugged my shoulders, getting an "Are you serious?" Look from Mia. I looked up to the tops of the trees. The trees were actually quite tall, and the gardens trees made up a forest.

"Umm...Jackson?" Mia asked. I looked at her, she was looking at the ground.
"Yeah." I replied
"Umm.....the teachers keep asking me why your not able to do your work." She said, not making eye contact
"Did you say anything?" I asked,
"No, I just told them that you wouldn't want them to know." Mia replied. Looking up at me. I nodded my head, giving her a small smile as a way of saying I appreciate it. "But Jackson, their gonna wanna know about it sooner or later." Mia said.
"I know, I just don't Want to tell them." I said. Mia nodded in agreement as we sat in silence. I didn't want anyone to know about my dyslexia, if anyone knew they'd probably give me special treatment and the other kids would make fun of me for it.

Mia's POV
Jackson and I sat at a spare table as we ate our dinner, We had raw chicken and pork. I could tell something was up with Jackson, he just seemed off, but then again, it could just be trauma from what Gorge did.
"Hey Mia?" Asked Jackson.
"Yeah." I replied
"Do you like it here?" He asked
"Some things are okay but, I'd much rather be back at home." I said, giving him a fake smile. He nodded his head before continuing to eat his dinner with his fork.

Maybe that's why he was off, I thought. He must have been home sick. I looked around the room as we ate, a few people were staring, probably cause we were eating nothing but raw meat. I ignored them and continued to eat. Once we were done we both went to our rooms, I just hoped that Jackson would be okay, after all Jake was one of Brendon's friends.

Jackson's POV
Mia and I went our seperate ways as we walked to our rooms. I opened the door to my room, inside Jake, Felix, Jacob and Brendon were in there chatting. They turned their attention to me as I walked in glaring at me with hate. I ignored them as I laid on my bed.
"Soo....the mutt returns." Jacob said
"Aww, look, he's being a shy Wolfe again." Brendon said. I stared up at the roof as I tried to ignore them. After I while I could tell that they weren't happy with being ignored.

"You know, it's not polite to ignore someone who's talking to you." Jake snickered
"Don't worry, he won't be able to ignore us for much longer." Brendon said with a laugh.
