Chapter 8

Mia's POV
We turned back to normal and looked at each other in worry. I could feel as though I could turn back to a wolf anytime. I knew right away that we were no longer normal, we were freaks, lab rats.
"Well I wasn't expecting that" Jackson said trying to lighten the mood. I wasn't really interested, but I crawled over towards him and hugged him for warmth. He hugged me back as he leaned against the wall. My feet began to freeze, making me feel even colder.

Jackson's POV
Mia crawled over towards me and hugged me, I hugged back, knowing it was only to stay warm. We stayed like that for a while before we heard voice coming from the outside. The door swung open creating a squealing sound, we both looked up, still holding onto each other, The four men dressed in all black came in and grabbed us. We struggled and tried to break free, but once again it was useless. They dragged us out of the room and down the long hallway. I could feel the tingling sensation again, as they dragged us, but before my body could change one of the men dragging me turned to me
"Don't even think about it!" He said sternly, I stayed silent as I tried to stop the tingling. Some how i knew it would be a bad idea to shift into s wolf.

We came up to another room, but this one was white and clean. They opened the door, inside there was a control room, with hundreds of buttons and a window. On the other side of the glass was an empty room with two collars attached to leads on opposite ends of the room. I began to panic, something deep inside me was telling me to get away and not be trapped. I tried to run and get away but the people dressed in black held me in check, so much so I wasn't able to move.
"Stop squirming!" One of them yelled. Mia looked at me, she was terrified.

I felt the tingling come back as they dragged us into the empty room before putting the collars around our necks. Mia and I looked at each other in terror. I tried to rip it off, but it wouldn't budge. The people dressed in black retreated to the control room and closed the door behind them. I couldn't see inside the control room, the window stopped us from seeing through it. It looked like one of the windows you'd see in a police interrogation room. I struggled as I tried to rip the collar off, I don't know why, but it freaked me out, and it was nothing like I had ever felt. I looked across from me towards Mia, she was doing the exact same.

"Can you guys hear me?" I heard the man in the coat's voice through a speaker in the corner. I stopped struggling and looked at the speaker, in the corner of my eye I could see Mia doing the same.
"Good, now listen carefully. You two belong to me now, which means you are to do as I say or you will be punished." He said calmly.
"My name is Gorge, but you may call me "Master", you are my pets, you can keep your old names but those clothes your wearing are gonna have to go." The man in the coat said, or Gorge.

I glared at the glass even though I couldn't see through it. I began to breathe heavily as the tingling sensation came back, after a few seconds I was a wolf once again. I began to try pull the collar and lead but still it did no good.
"BAD!" Yelled Gorge. All of a sudden, electricity began to surge through my body, I yelped in pain and fell to the ground, feeling all my energy leave my body.
"JACKSON!" Mia yelled worriedly. After a few moments I gained a bit of energy and sat up, My vision was a little blurry but it started to clear. I shook my head, which helped my vision clear, but I was a little light headed.

"Next time, behave, there's more where that came from." Gorge said. I was really starting to despise him. I began to snarl at the glass, but it really didn't do anything.
"Now, is that anyway to behave to your master?" He asked, thankfully nothing happened. "Now, Mia, I want you to shift as well."
Mia looked at the glass with fear, but didn't do anything. I turned my head to the door as Gorge came out with a metal bat.

I began to snarl and growl at him, but he ignored me. He walked up to Mia as she shrunk back against the wall.
"Shift, or I'll break you." Gorge threatened. I continued in my rage as he turned to face me. "Shut up, you stupid mutt."
I continued to snarl all him, which made him angry. "It appears young Jackson wants another shock" he said in a cruel voice.
Electricity began to surge through my body once more, making me yelp and fall to the floor. I looked up, my head resting on the floor, as I watched.

"Shift, or I'll break you" he repeated
"I can't, I don't know how." Mia replied sounding terrified, putting her hands up in front of her face.
"Useless!" He shouted as he swung the bat down, hitting Mia in the leg, She screamed in pain, I could tell it was broken because of the sound it made. I laid on the floor, unable to move, watching this man, beat Mia. If I could, I would rip his throat out, but i was paralysed.

Mia began to shift as Gorge watched. When she was fully in wolf form, I could see how out of shape her leg was, it was bent in an unnatural way. I could hear the sounds of cracking as Mia's leg began to heal.
"Good, next time, do as your told. As for you." He said turning towards me "DON'T INTERFERE!" He walked back into the control room, taking the bat with him and closing the door behind him.
