Chapter 16

Jackson's POV
I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on the door.
"Time to wake up." A voice beyond the door said before moving on to the next door. I sat up, and got changed into some fresh clothes, before walking out the door. I walked into the cafeteria, seeing Mia at a table by herself. I grabbed my breakfast and joined her.
"Morning." I said sitting down across from her
"Morning." She replied

We ate our breakfast and headed to the next class, we both had PE together first up.
"So How did yesterday go with your roommate?" Mia asked as we walked into the back garden.
"A little strange actually, all four of them were in there, they said a few annoying things, but other than that it was okay." I replied. After we finished eating breakfast we walked out to the right where the large open field of grass was. Almost everyone in the class was there, even the teacher was standing up the front with her hands on her hips. We joined the crowd that was standing in front of the teacher as we waited for her to start the lesson.

"Listen up, I want everyone to run as many laps around this field as you can using you powers. START!" the teacher yelled. We followed the other students as they lined up and began using their powers. I shifted into wolf form, as did Mia as we waited for the teacher to blow her whistle. She blew her whistle and everyone began to sprint. By the time I looked back, everyone was spread out, Mia and I were running right up the front. I never noticed how much faster we were than before, We were also able to run a lot longer than before as well. We were the last to finish, running at a record of 35 laps. Considering how big the field was, it must have been 8km per lap.

"Great job everyone." The teacher said as Mia and I shifted back into human form. Everyone else was breathing heavily, Mia and I were, but only a little bit.

The day was over and Mia and I returned back to our rooms. I walked in to see Jake, Felix, Jacob and Brendon sitting and chatting once again, though this time they weren't glaring at me, they were smirking at me. I closed the door behind me and laid on my bed, staring up at the ceiling.
"So how was your day?" Felix Asked, obviously I continued to ignore them.
"The silent treatment again huh?" Asked Jake.
"Well, it looks like we're gonna have to force you." Brendon said with a snicker. I quickly sat up and looked at them, wondering what they were up to.

"Oh, now he pays attention. Well I think it's a little late." Brendon said as he pulled out a small whistle. I looked at it, that's when I realised it was a dog whistle. I had seen what dog whistles do to dogs and considering my hearing was better than a dogs, things weren't looking good. I stood up and ran to the door, before running down the hall. I ran out into the back garden where I ran into Mia. She was with a group of girls who I hadn't met before.
"Oh hey Jackson." She said happily.
"Oh, So this is your friend." One of the other girls said. I looked behind me, but I couldn't see them.
"Jackson is something wrong?" Mia asked worriedly.

I didn't want Mia to worry about me, or get her involved, so I simply just said.
"No, everything's fine." I said as I walked casually past them. Once I had passed them I heard footsteps behind me.
"There He is, get him." Brendon yelled as all four of them started to run after me. I started to run, I ran into the trees for better cover, but it seemed useless, they would always find me.
I looked behind me as I ran, Mia and her friends were running after us, so not only did I have Brendon, Jacob, Felix and Jake running after me, but I also had a group of girls as well.

I continued to run for what felt like a long time, before I finally stopped. I looked behind me, I couldn't see anyone, I turned around as someone grabbed me. Jake was holding onto me tightly with a large smile across his face. I tired to get out of his grip when suddenly, a loud piercing noise came into the air. I fell to the ground on my knees, with my hands over my ears. The sound made my ears feel like they were on fire and feel like they continuously exploding. I screamed. The pain was soo intense.

I turned my head as I saw Mia and the other girls catch up. Mia looked at me with fear, as she too dropped to the ground in pain, covering her ears. All the other girls looked at her with fear before kneeling beside her, trying to help her. Jake, Jacob and Felix were all smiling at me, while Brendon blew the dog whistle. I kept my ears covered as he continued to blow it. I could feel myself tingling again, but this time uncontrollably. Within a few moments I was in wolf form, with only my paws to cover my ears.

"What do you think your doing?"one of the teachers emerged from the trees. I continued to yelp in pain as Brendon kept blowing the whistle.
"Give me that!" The teacher snatched the whistle off of him, Brendon started to glare at him. I shook my head, trying to stop the ringing that continued in my ears as I stood.
"What do you think you were doing?" Asked the teacher
"Just making a point, we were just about to leave anyway." Brendon said, walking away, his group following close behind.

I looked over at Mia, she was also in wolf form. I kept shaking my head as the loud ringing continued, using my paw to rub them. After a while, the ringing died down, I looked at everyone who was watching, before I ran further into the forest of tall trees.
