Chapter 14

Jackson's POV
We spread out against the wall, Mia and I stood next to each other. There were a lot of strange people in here, some of them had strange physical body's and others looked normal. Some had strange coloured hair, skin, or even another limb. Some had 4 eyes, or even strange birth marks. Mr Ross stood in the middle of the room, and looked at us.

"Okay, we're gonna do this one by one, from my left to my right, so Kendall, you will start." He said looking at a girl at the very end on the right. She nodded as he continued. "When I say your name I want you to use your powers, if you can't, just say so, and we'll take it slowly for you. Okay, begin. Kendall." Kendall nodded before stretching her arm and then bending it as if there were no bones. She pulled it back to normal as Mr Ross nodded, and wrote something on his clipboard.
"Good. Hayley." He called. Hayley stood next to Kendall, and then began to disappear. I couldn't see exactly where she was, but I could still smell her. She reappeared in the same spot as Mr Ross nodded, continuing to write on his clipboard.
"Next." He said. Next to Hayley was a group of 4 boys, though they all looked different. He stepped forward as he turned in a gas before returning to normal. "Good Jacob. Next"

The boy next to Jacob stood still, as the earth began to shake, making everyone wobble. "Good Felix. Next." The boy next to Felix, who I noticed was Jake, my roommate. After a moment he began to float off of the ground. "Good Jake. Next." The last boy in there group stepped forward and his right arm began to grow to the size of a giants. He then returned it to normal before stepping back. "Good Brendon. Next" Mia was next to try, everyone turned their attention to her. She just stood there for a few moments before finally speaking up.
"Ummm.....I can't control it yet." She said, sounding a little nervous.

"It's okay, just calm down and focus on what it is you can do." Mr Ross said calmly. Mia nodded her head and closed her eyes. After a few moments she began to shift, and was in wolf form. Mr Ross looked at her with open eyes, looking quite surprised.
"Well, that's incredible." He said as he watched her shift back to human. After he was finished staring at her, he said
"Great. Next." It was my turn. I took a deep breath as everyone watched me, I shifted into wolf form, gaining the same look from Mr Ross. I shifted back as everyone watched.
"You two are something else. I didn't think something such as that was even possible." He said looking at us wide eyed. After a minute he continued with his lesson as he went down the line.

After everyone had gone through the line we were all partnered up with someone. Mia was partnered up with Hayley while I was partnered up with Brendon. The kid who could make his arm bigger.
"Now, no one is to use their powers, you are only to use hand to hand combat, and to only do so on the mats." Mr Ross instructed. Brendon and I walked over to a free mat, the mats themselves were a good size. They were rectangle shaped, probably 5 metres by 3. Once everyone had a partner and was on the mat Mr Ross yelled.
"Begin."

Brendon and I looked at each other as we both stood in fighting stances.
"So, your an experiment. How sad." Brendon said nastily. I didn't reply as I kept my eyes on him. "What? Are you a shy wolf?" He asked with a snicker. To tell the truth this kid was annoying me, but I kept my cool. Brendon gave me a glare before taking a step forward and punching me in the face. I fell to the floor, I looked at him. He was smiling, but his smile soon faded when he saw my face heal. I stood back up and returned his punch, making him fly back a few metres.
"You little!" He said angrily as he jumped back up and tackled me to the ground. He began punching me repeatedly.

I started to play dead, or passed out, he then got off me. I opened my eyes and tripped him, making him fall to the ground on his face. He looked up at me with anger in his eyes, he stood up quickly, and made his arm grow large. I began to snarl at him, still in human form, making him give me a strange look before continuing.
"BRENDON, I SAID NO POWERS!" Mr Ross yelled running towards us, but it was too late, Mr Ross was on the other side of the room. Brendon swung his hand down as I rolled out of its path. I stood up and looked at him, he swung at me again, but I dodged it. Just as I landed I saw another large hand swing my way hitting me and throwing me against the wall. I could hear my bones snap, and I'm pretty sure that everyone could.

I fell to the floor, coughing up blood, I looked up to see Brendon smirking. I began to grunt as my bones started to snap and heal. Once they were healed, I shifted uncontrollably into wolf form. I stood up and began to snarl at him, making him give me a strange look before approaching me. All of a sudden Mr Ross stood in front of Brendon, with his arms out to make him stop. I was about to lunge at him when Mia stepped in front of me, putting her hands up to stop me. I stopped snarling, but I growled in return.
"Jackson, just calm down, we know he started that, but you just need to calm down." Mia said calmly, putting her hands in front of me.

I stopped growling and tried to calm down, once I did I shifted back into human form. Mia gave me a small hug as I did and then helped me up. Mr Ross was still trying to control Brendon as he refused to back down. His hands were still huge, in fact it looked a little strange, due to the fact the rest of his body was normal sized. I glared at him as Mia tried to talk to me, he glared back before returning his attention back to Mr Ross.
