Chapter 10

Jackson's POV
Mia nudged me as I opened my eyes, she gave me a worried look. I jumped up as I heard footsteps coming this way, I began to growl and snarl as the door opened. Mia ran behind me for cover. Gorge walked in with a few people I hadn't met before, but I recognised their scent, they were the people that were dressed in all black. This time they were dressed in casual clothes, though I was quite surprised to find out that 2 of them were girls.

Gorge stepped forward, and threw something at my paws. I looked down at it, it was clothes. They were ordinary grey shirts and leggings, one pair for me and one pair for Mia.
"Both of you, get dressed now." Gorge said, I gave him a growl. "Come on now, don't treat your master like that." He said calmly. "It's either you get dressed yourselves or these people here will Help you get dressed." He said walking away. I decided I would call the people that wore black the guards so that I didn't have to call them "the people who wore black."

I exhaled deeply as I shifted into human, feeling the cold surround me. I stood up on two legs and grabbed a pair of clothes. I walked behind a tree and got dressed, it seemed a little weird because our fur was grey as well. I walked back over to Mia who still hadn't shifted yet, she looked at me as she saw the clothes. I could tell she didn't like them.
"HURRY UP AND GET DRESSED!" one of the guards said, sounding forceful. I looked down at Mia, she looked scared, I don't think she knew how. I kneeled down beside her and gave her a small smile.
"Mia it's okay, just breathe and focus on your human form." I said calmly. She exhaled deeply and closed her eyes. After a few moments she returned to her human form, and stood up on two legs. She walked over and grabbed the clothes off of the ground before going behind a tree and getting dressed. When she came back, I could see that we were in identical clothing, and I could tell she wasn't happy with it. They were skin tight, revealing just how skinny the both of us were from the lack of eating.

The guards came up to us and clipped on a lead, pulling us out the door.
"Don't try and resist." One of guards said to me, I glared at him in return. Mia and I stayed in our human form as we walked around. We came to a room and went inside, everyone sat down in a chair, except Mia and I, because there wasn't any chairs left. The guards handed both our leads to Gorge who was sitting down at the end of the table.
"Sit." He said sternly. Mia sat down almost strait away, I could see she was scared of Gorge. I continued to stand, gaining the looks of everyone at the table, there were a few people I knew, such as the guards and Gorge but there were a few I didn't know.

"Sit." He said once again, not making any eye contact. I continued to ignore him. He slowly turned his head towards me with an angry look on his face.
"SIT!!" Gorge yelled angrily. I looked into his eyes, it was cold and almost lifeless. I slowly sat down, gaining worried looks from Mia beside me.
"It seems we have one obedient one, and one disobedient one." Gorge said talking to the others at the table. I just tuned them out as I scanned the room. There was red carpet all over the floor and wooden walls all around the room including the ceiling. There was a large wooden table in the middle in the shape of a rectangle, with a vase of flowers in the middle. Mia and I sat on the floor next to Gorge on the end. You may think that it would be a good time to try and escape, but Gorge was holding onto our leads tight, and the leads themselves were only about a metre long anyway, it would just be a waste of energy, and would probably be very painful.

Everyone at the table continued to talk until, a few people came in and handed a plate full of food to everyone. One of them handed Gorge a cooked steak with vegetables, and another bowl full of raw meat chunks. I was hungry, but I wasn't about to eat, not here, not now. Mia and I watched as they all ate and then continued to talk. It was humiliating to be sitting on the floor and taking orders like a dog. I knew that Mia was only doing it because she was scared, but I didn't want to be treated like this.

I stood up, gaining the attention from everyone at the table.
"What do you think you are doing, I told you to sit." Gorge said looking at me
"I'm not your dog, neither is Mia. And you are not in charge of me, your not my master." I said angrily. His eyes turned aggressive as he stood up. Gorge was a lot taller than me, it made me feel intimidated, but I stood my ground. Mia was still sitting on the ground, watching us, with fear.

"If you don't obey me, you will be punished. I'll give you one last chance to except your new life." He said with anger.
"I won't!" I yelled. Suddenly Gorge punched me in the face, making me fall to the ground. My nose was bleeding, and it felt broken, but it would heal. I began to snarl at him, still in human form, although it sounded just like it would if I was in wolf form. I jumped up and bit his right arm before he could react. I tasted blood as I bit down harder.
"Filthy mutt!" He yelled before throwing me at the wall. I hit the wall with great force, hearing a few of my bones break. I sat on the ground as I started to heal.

"I am your master, I am your creator and you will show me respect." He said angrily walking towards me. I tried to get up to move out of the way, but I couldn't, I was still healing from his last attack. He grabbed something out of his jacket before lunging at me, piercing my left shoulder, just above my heart. I yelled in pain, as I looked at what it was, it was a knife, a sharp kitchen knife.
