Mia's POV
"What are you looking at, get moving!" Jackson yelled as everyone started to leave. Once everyone was gone, Jackson walked up to me and kneeled.
"Are you Okay?" He asked kindly. I nodded my head in return, though to tell the truth, I was defiantly not okay, i was traumatised. He helped me up, grabbed my clothes and bag before directing me towards the bathrooms. Once I was fully dressed I came back out to see he was waiting patiently for me. He looked as though he was guarding the door, making sure Becky didn't come back.

"Jackson Thanks for helping me back there." I said, as he turned his attention to me
"No problem, I know you would've done the same if it were me. Besides your my best friend, i would come running no matter what." He replied calmly. But I could tell that he was still pretty upset. We began to walk towards the exit, not really wanting to say anything. The whole school was empty, not one teacher or student was there as far I could see. Once we exited the school we began to walk on our normal route home.

Jackson's POV
As we walked, I noticed that everything was quieter than normal, it was kinda strange considering that it was almost always loud due to the large population. It kind of felt like a ghost town. Mia and I lived in the city, we didn't live together of course, but we lived close to each other, although not quite neighbours. I kept looking around but it was silent, not even any birds were around. Nothing was moving, not even a single car, it was completely silent apart from Mia and My footsteps on the concrete. I could tell by the way she was looking around that she had noticed it too. Something was defiantly off, neither of us had ever seen anything like this, in fact I don't think anyone in this city has, even at night it was Busy, for something like this to happen it had to be an apocalypse or or an evacuation or something.

"What's going on?" Mia asked still looking around
"I don't know, but somethings up, this isn't normal. It's like everyone disappeared or evacuated." I replied
"The whole city wouldn't be able to evacuate in the short amount of time I was getting dressed." Mia said logically. I was starting to freak out, but i kept it silent to stop Mia from worrying. I wanted her to be calm, she had already had enough stress and embarrassment from Becky, there was no need for anymore.

"So are you feeling better now?" I asked
"Yeah, a bit, although I'm pretty sure I won't be able to face half the school now." Mia replied looking at the ground.
"It'll be okay, you'll get through this, and I'll even help you get back at Becky." I said with a slight smirk on my face.
"Yeah that would be nice, but it will have to be something worse then what she did to me today, just to make up for some of the other things she's done in the past as well." Mia replied looking at me with a smile. I smiled back, it would be nice.

"Soo, should we try and look for someone?" Mia asked
"I don't know, i think it might be best to try and stay out of sight until we know what this is." I replied
"Yeah, but what if we never find out what this is? What if no one comes back? What if this is an apocalypse?" She asked looking at me worry in her eyes.
"Don't worry, we'll be fine. And I highly doubt that would be what this is." I replied, reassuring the both of us. We continued to walk, but both of us were worried. I didn't even know if this was an apocalypse, all I knew is that everyone was gone and it was dead silent. In case it was an apocalypse, i kept my guard up in case any zombies decided to attack us.

We kept walking, faster and faster. But still we saw no one, no zombies either which was a relief. All the plants were the same, the sky, the grass, the houses, the cars, the road, the footpath, everything was exactly the same.
"I think we should stay together." I finally spoke up
"Yeah that's probably a good idea." Mia replied
"We'll go to your house first and see if anyone's there." I said confidently, hoping that Mia would feel less scared.
"Okay, then afterwards we'll go to yours." She said with a small smile in her face. I nodded in agreement as we approached Mia's house.

It was a two storey house with a beautiful garden out the front. It had no decks, but it had a small veranda out the back. It was painted a creamy white colour with a light grey to highlight the windows and doors. We approached the front door as Mia dug through her bag, pulling out a key. She zipped up her bag and opened the door, running inside as soon as it had unlocked.
"MUM! DAD! WHERE ARE YOU!!" Mia yelled, but no one answered her calls. We both split up and searched the house, we found nothing, and nothing was out of place. I knew that because I often came here to hang out with Mia, we were best friends after all.

"Did you find anything?" Mia asked, with the sound of desperation lingering in her voice. I gave her a sad look and shook my head. She looked sad for a moment before continuing.
"Let's search you house then." She said walking out the front door, locking it behind me. We both walked quietly towards my house. It was a two storey as well and was pretty much the same set up as Mia's. I grabbed the key under the key rock next to the door and unlocked it. We walked in, everything was in its place, except for a couple of things.
"The vase, it's in the middle of the table, and the rug, it's too far away from the back Door." I said looking directly at them.
"Soo?" Asked Mia
"Mum never puts the vase in the middle of the table, she always puts it off to the side, and she always has the rug in line with the door. Even if she went out, she would always check it," I replied

"So What does that mean?" Mia asked, looking at me with concern.
"I don't know." I said calmly, not taking my eyes off of the moved objects. All of a sudden six men ran around the corner holding strange looking guns, pointing them directly at us. My heart began to pound, i knew something strange was going on here.
