Chapter 19

Jackson's POV
"Well for your first day, I think you did pretty well." Emily said while putting her stuff away in her bag.
"Thanks," I replied "anyway, I should start heading to power control."
"Yeah, see you tomorrow." Emily said as I walked out the door and into the herd of people heading towards their next classes.

I pushed pass all of them and headed to the gym for power control. Everyone was pretty much already there, as well as Mia and one of her new friends. I think her name was Christy, she looked pretty but she wasn't very nice. She had bright blue eyes, pale freckled skin and pure blond hair. She was wearing a light blue jumper with black leggings and white sneakers.

"Hey, Jackson." Mia yelled, as she waved at me. I walked over towards her, gaining dirty looks from Christy.
"Hey" I said ignoring Christy. I knew that they hated me from our meeting at lunch, but I don't know why they hate me, honestly I don't think I did anything wrong.
"Hey umm, are you okay?" Mia asked with a concerned look. "It's just you were acting strange at lunch, I thought that maybe there was something wrong."

I looked at Christy who was giving me daggers, I could tell Mia about her new friends but, I didn't want to upset her. Their the only friends she's ever made besides from me, I just want her to be happy.
"Nah, everything's fine, I just needed time to think." I replied giving her a reassuring smile. She nodded her head and returned the smile. We stood there for a few minutes, everyone chatted and stood around, I tried to just chat casually with Mia and Christy but obviously Christy didn't want me to so I just zoned out.

"Okay everyone just settle down!" Mr Ross burst through the front door. Everyone instantly went quiet and turned their attention to Mr Ross.
"Today we will be focusing on hand to hand combat, so everyone pick a partner and let's begin" Mr Ross continued. I turned towards Mia, who was being dragged away by the arm. Christy dragged her to the closest training mat, with a nasty smile on her face. I knew deep down in my gut that Mia's new friends hated me and were trying to steal her away from me.

I turned around, everyone had already picked a partner except for Jessica. We walked casually to a free mat and got into fighting stances.
"Begin." Mr Ross yelled. Jessica and i didn't move, she just glared at me, i glared back.
"Soo, is the little Wolfe all alone, awww." She said nastily "don't worry, Mia will be better off without you, we'll take good care of her, after all she is our friend."
"I'm not going anywhere." I replied.
"Well, Mia is, and she's leaving you behind, leaving you all on your own." She continued
