I'm mad at Nick , we all are, but I can't keep sitting here watching my best friend break down anymore. She's always grumpy, she's always tired, and she's always in her room, shutting us out, because the only person she wants to see is the person who hurt her.
I can't just sit here and watch her fall apart.
I pick up my phone and call nick.
"Hey.", he sounds like trash.
"have you been crying?"
he exhales shakily over the line, "No."
"Nick."
"Yes alright, what do you want?"
"I wanna help you and Naomi."
"How?", his voice breaks over the line.
"Come over."
"Edwin, she doesn't want to see me, brandon said-"
"I don't care what she told you or what Brandon said, she wants to see you Nick, she needs tosee you."
Silence.
"Hey," I snap into the speaker. "Are you listening to me?"
"Yeah, but what if-"
"Come over here Nick, you gotta make things right."
"Okay, I'm coming."
THAT MORNING:
NAOMI'S POV: Naomi rolls over in her bed and into Nick's arms, she jerks away from his grasp.
"Ma'."
"I'm mad at you, Nick.", her voice cracks.
"I know, I know, but I want to fix this, please, just hear me out. I know I was wrong, I can't control you, or who you decide to be friends with, regardless of you guy's past I shouldn't have even tried, that was wrong, and mean, and I know it hurt you. I shouldn't have accused you of lying like that, I know you would never hurt me. But I freaked out Naomi, and I wouldn't have freaked out if I trusted you, so I'm working on it Ma' really I am." a tear rolls down his face and as Naomi reaches out to wipe it away, Nick grabs her hand and kisses it. "I love you Ma', and I need you."
