Calum
Y/N's POV:
I wake up before Calum at 5:00 to make breakfast. I'm pretty mad that he's leaving for the Where We Are tour, but it's not his fault. I'm happy that he'll get to do concerts, and meet fans. I go downstairs and bring out two pans. I crack some eggs and make scrambled eggs on one pan, and make bacon for the other. "Four more hours." I say as I check the time. Four hours left with Calum before he leaves for months. "Morning babe." I jump and put my hand on my chest. "You scared the shit out of me!" I laugh and finish cooking the food. I put them on two plates, setting them on the table. "Sorry." He chuckles. Calum takes a seat and thanks me for the breakfast. "No problem." I smile. I pour myself coffee and bring it to my lips, blowing on the surface. I take a sip and feel the warm liquid go down to my stomach. "Three hours." I whisper, thinking he won't hear me. "I know." He says, I didn't know he was counting time like I was. Calum releases a deep sigh, stretching to look at me from the table. "We still have some time left." He says and puts his plate in the sink. "Eat first." I look at my full plate, suddenly losing my appetite. "I'll eat later." I put a cover on top of the plate to save it after I drop Calum to the airport. "What do you want to do?" He asks while skipping out the door to the backyard. "We don't have time anyway." He doesn't hear my comment so I meet him outside. "What are you doing?" I chuckle when Calum tries to climb the tree in our backyard. "C'mon, we'd always sit here when we were kids." I roll my eyes, but climb after him. He takes my hand, and pulls me beside him. We were actually neighbors, this being his house and the next one mine, we would climb this tree to talk about anything. After our parents wanted to move, I moved in with Calum as roommates but became something more. "Look." He points to the trunk, our names carved inside a heart. "Calum, I don't want you to leave... But I want this for you." I force a smile, and hold his hand tightly. "You can come y'know." He brings up the suggestion from last night. I sigh, "I can't, I have classes and work." Calum rolls his eyes, "Well, I'll call or FaceTime you when I can." He kisses my nose, and I crinkle them. I let out a soft laugh, Calum's laugh following right after. "I'm going to miss you." A tear escapes my eye, but Calum wipes it away. "Don't cry baby girl. I'll be back." He comforts me. I'm going to miss Calum's cuddles, forehead kisses, voice, meaningless arguments, I'm just going to miss him in general. "One." That was all that needed to be said, time was almost up. We both get off the tree, and go back inside the house. "I guess we should go to the airport now." I sadly say and get my keys. Calum sighs, walking out with his bags to the car. I lock the door and get in the car, starting the engine. The ride is quiet, not even the radio on, just silence. I park in the drop-off zone and leave the car running, getting down to get Calum's bags. "I'm sorry." He says when I give him his bags. "It's not your fault. Remember to have fun, but not too much fun okay?" I grin, forcing my tears back. Calum nods and kisses me, the taste of him lingering on my lips. "I love you!" I yell when he enters the airport. "I love you too!" He yells back and waves. A deep sigh comes from my mouth and I hurry in the car. Calum's going to be gone for a few months and all I did was kiss him once. I jump out the car and run inside the airport, trying to find Calum's frame. "Calum!" I scream when I spot his sunglasses. He doesn't turn around, maybe he thinks I'm a fan getting his attention. I take a running start and when I get close, I jump on his back. He drops his bags, and balances himself from the impact. I let go, probably sweaty from all the running. When Calum turns around, I passionately kiss him, my hands tangling in his hair. He immediately kisses back, feeling the warmth of his lips against mine. The guys clap once I pull apart to get some air. "Why'd you come here?" Calum asks, and pulls me closer. "I wanted to say a proper goodbye." I shrug. "That was an awesome goodbye." He smirks, and kisses me again. "Flight for New York is ready for take off." A voice from the intercom booms out. "You're going to be late." I push Calum to the rest of the guys. "I love you." He says again. "Love you too." I smile, and wave until he's gone. I'm going to miss his so damn much, but this is what's best for him. He's living his dream, and I'm not going to let anything get in the way of that. I walk out the airport and drive back home. "Ice cream first." I say, and make a u-turn to the grocery store.
