I chewed on my lip as Kayla and I walked to the front door. She knocked, then stepped back. I heard Lottie say she was going to get it, and within a few seconds, she was staring at me. "Louis!"

I stepped forward and hugged her. When I pulled back, Lottie looked extremely shocked. "Hey," I said quietly.

Her smile widened as she looked to Kayla. "Hi, I'm Lottie," she introduced.

"I'm Kayla."

Mom and Fizzy walked around the corner. Lottie stepped to the side and continued to talk with Kayla. I threw my arms around my Mom as soon as she was in reach. "I missed you," I whispered.

Her grip tightened after I spoke. "I missed you too, baby." She kissed the top of my head. "So much."

Kayla talked to them and I had her number so I could call whenever I needed to. She only took on a few patients at a time that way she could be more of a specialized psycho-therapist.

Everyone was quiet for a while, and I realized I would have to be the one who have to set the boundary. "You can ask me stuff, I just might not want to answer it right now."

Lottie nodded and my mom just continued chewing on her lip like she had been since Kayla left. "Are you happy to be back?" Lot asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, but I needed to go," I answered quietly. "And Kayla helped a lot."

"The night with-"

"Not talking about that," I said quickly. I looked away from them and to the ground.

"I need to know what happened," Mom demanded. "You wouldn't hurt Harry like that."

I chewed on my lip, remaining quiet. I wasn't talking about that. Definitely not twice in a day.

"What if Harry wants to come talk to you?" Lottie asked quietly.

I snapped my head towards her. "He's still-"

"No, he woke up, Lou. Has been awake for like a week now. He keeps asking about you," Fizzy explained softly.

I stared at Fizzy. "He... No, Kayla would have told me."

"She didn't know until we told her today. She wasn't trying to keep that from you," Lottie explained.

"What happened with Harry?" Mom asked again.

"I said I wasn't talking about it."

"Let it go," Lottie told our mom. "He doesn't have to talk about it."

"We're not having this conversation again, Lottie," Mom snapped.

"Don't even start."

I looked at Fizzy, who was already standing and walking towards me. "Come on."

"Sit down!" Mom shouted. I flinched and held onto the chair, moving my gaze to the floor. "Tell me what happened."

"Mom, fucking enough," Lottie snapped. "Stop playing mom when Louis is around and stop the second he isn't. You can't demand this out of him. This is a lot bigger than fucking breaking a picture frame."

"You have no idea what it's like!"

"Stop," I whispered. Call Kayla. "Please."

"Louis, go to your room."

No one had to tell me twice. I shot up from the seat and basically ran to my room. I grabbed the phone Kayla gave me before she left and called the only number saved in the contacts.

"Louis?" Kayla answered. "Is everything okay?"

I shook my head, watching the door. "No. Lottie and my mom are fighting and my mom wants me to talk about Harry and-"

"Hey, remember, deep breath in, deep breath out. Look, you're transitioning back home, things are tense but it's gonna get better."

"I don't want to talk about Harry," I whispered. "And she's getting mad I won't."

I heard Kayla sigh. "Lottie said you might not do well there. She's definitely like a  mom."

"I don't wanna go back to the hospital," I told her honestly.

"I'm calling Dad and you're not stopping it!" Lottie yelled. I stood up, chewing on my lip.

"We'll figure something out, alright? Just try to tough it out tonight."

"Lottie's calling our dad? I didn't even know our dad still..."

I heard Kayla mumbling something, but couldn't make it out. "Just calm down, Louis. Everything's gonna be fine."

Lottie poked her head in the room. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," I whispered. "Dad..?

"I'll explain in a minute. Who're you talking to?"

"Kayla." Lottie nodded then closed my door. "What do I do?"

"Honestly, trust Lottie. She seems to know what she's doing right now, and your mom is just very emotional."

I nodded. "Thank you."

"No problem. Call me anytime, okay?"

"Oh, we both know you'll be sick of seeing my name flash on your screen." Kayla laughed. I smiled and we said goodbye before hanging up.

A few minutes later, Lottie came into the room. "Are you done talking?"

I nodded, so she came in. "Okay, Dad heard about everything with you coming back, and he actually tried coming to see you before... everything happened."

I don't want to talk around a lot of people I signed quickly. Like only you guys.

Lottie nodded. "Kayla said that. But you can trust Dad, Louis."

He left you!

"But we're over it now," Lottie explained. "He messed up, but when you disappeared, it really messed up everything."

I looked down and heard her sigh. "Its not your fault-"

You just said it was.

"That's not what I meant, Louis!" She took a deep breath. "You caused it, but you couldn't control that or what it caused."

I nodded.

"I swear, Louis," Lottie said as she walked over. "We're fine, you're fine, and dad isn't nearly as bad as we made him out to be. I know this is weird and scary, I'm sorry. But I can promise you one thing."

I looked over at her and she smiled as she grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "We're going to keep you safe, no matter what."
