Song: Blown Away by Carrie Underwood
Shatter every window until its all blown away
Every brick every broard every slammen' door blown away
Till theres nothin' left standin' nothin' left to yesterday
Every tear soaked whiskey memory blown away
Blown away

I walked into my basement to see my best friend Amanda sitting behind her blue set of drums. Hailey was also standing by her with her guitar hanging off of her shoulder.
"Hey," I said, which startled them and they looked up at me.
"Hey, we were just talking about the battle of the bands. We are doing it, right?" Hailey asked.
I nodded in response.
"Good. Let's show those crazies we can beat their sorry butts." Amanda said.
"You got that right," I mumbled.
I walked over to the microphone stand and flipped the switch on.
My, should I say, ex-best friend and I were competing. They won the battle of the bands every year and it was time to show them who's boss. We had what it takes to bring them down. I had been told that I have a voice of an angel and my band rocked. We called ourselves the 'Candy-Coated Devils'.
"So, what song will it be?" I asked, tucking my brown hair behind my ear and placing a hand on my hip.
"I don't know. Maybe... wait, maybe," Silence came after Amanda's words as she looked around thoughtfully.
"Well, I think we should do a different kind of song for us. Maybe try country?" Hailey said.
Hailey had dark black hair that came down to her jaw line. Thin strips of purple and pink streaked through her hair. She was awesome at guitar. The first song she ever learned was 'Living on a Prayer' by Bon Jovi. While Amanda, on the other hand, had blond hair and was a drumming queen. She is really girly but didn't like to admit it.
Amanda's head popped up and she nodded. "That's a good idea, Hails!"
"Yeah. What about the song 'Blown Away" by Carrie Underwood?" I asked.
They nodded in agreement on went straight to the computers to print out the music sheets. I stood by the microphone humming along to some of the lyrics coming from Amanda's speakers.
Hailey held up a sheet of paper and walked over to me. "Got it."
"So do I," Amanda said from behind me.
"Great. Let's start." I said.
They nodded and I started singing the first line of the song when, suddenly, the drums stopped and Amanda groaned in frustration.
"Ugh! I messed up, start over," she said. She started the beat again and I started singing. We got to the chorus and I slowly started to get louder and louder as the music went deeper and deeper into my skin, soaking up every bit of sound. Then, the guitar stopped.
