Song- Battle Field - Jordan sparks
--
I never meant to start a war
You know I never wanna hurt you
Don't even know what we're fighting for
Why does love always feel like a battle field?
Battle field, battle field, battle field
Why does love always feels like..

I woke up to a soft rain hitting my window and my alarm beeping by my head. I rolled over and slapped it to turn it off and was about to go to sleep when I realized just what day it was.
'Battle of the bands' my mind screamed.
I threw my blanket off of me and ran over to my dresser. I took the clothes I laid out yesterday off from the top and went into the bathroom to put them on.
They smelled nice and clean, like my new body spray. I pulled my dress on along with my shoes. I did my make up quickly and tugged on my cowgirl hat. Since I straight ironed my dark brown hair, it went perfect with the dress. I have to say, for once in my life, I looked stunning.
I walked out of the bathroom and went back into my room to grab some money and spray some perfume on. He battle of the bands was an all day thing. Almost like a concert were everyone near this area comes to listen or perform. Almost everyone goes. I mean, we have all sorts of bands playing.
I walked down stairs to see my sister looking like a sick puppy on the couch.
"Whats wrong, Sophie?" I asked.
"Nothing, just crap. Bye!" She said.
I cringed at her last words, "Gosh, hateful much?" I mumbled.
I grabbed my bag and went out the door. I clicked the unlock button on my baby blue car and hopped in. Since we are usually performing close to the beginning, we had to be back stage by ten. Thank God I don't live hours away. Just fifteen minutes.
I replayed the song 'Blown Away' in my car the whole way there and sang along with every word in the perfect pitch. The car ride passed by much faster this way. I soon arrived and got out, walking over to the sign in table.
"Name?" The lady asked.
"Grace Toranta," I replied.
A guy standing behind her appeared by my side and took my arm, "Let me take you back stage," He said.
I nodded and followed him back stage to meet Hailey and Amanda standing there looking like nervous wrecks.
"Excited?" I asked.
"Nervous and excited," Hailey said.
I wasn't to nervous. We played every year since we were 15 now we're eighteen and I'm totally used to it. We don't only go to battle of the bands though, we go every where. Battle of the bands is just the big competition for our town/city. There are many more around where we live or close by that we go to.
I looked around the back stage nervously and saw Zane and his band about to go on stage. I heard the announcers call there bands name and the curtains rose. The winners from the last year were always the opening and ending performers for next year.
