Song: Waiting for the end - Linkin Park
--
This is not the end, this is not the beginning
Just a voice like a riot rocking every revision
But you listen to the tone and the violent rhythm
Though the words sound steady something empty's within them
We say yeah with fists flying up in the air
Like we're holding onto something that's invisible there
Cause we're living at the mercy of the pain and the fear
Until we dead it, forget it, let it all disappear

Once I got home, I ran straight upstairs and took a quick shower. I got out and dried off, putting on some cool clothes, since it was summer and a bit hot. I walked out of the bathroom and went downstairs to see my sister on the couch watching 'Vampires Suck'
"Oh my gosh! I love this movie!" I said, sitting down in the red chair.
I starred at the screen attempting to watch the movie, but my mind kept wandering to the battle of the bands.
I'm not sure if our song will have what it takes. We have never done country before. If Zane and his band win and we lose, my band will have lost for a second time. We will be mortified. I cant let that happen. Amanda is already really close to quiting because she hates Hailey.
I felt a sharp pain sizzle through my arm and I looked back at my sister, Sophie, "What?"
"I asked you three times if you wanted any freakin popcorn, idiot. Do you want some?" Sophie asked pushing the popcorn in front of me.
"Sorry! And no, I don't," I said.
"Fine. What were you thinking about?"
"The battle of the bands. We are performing a country song this year," I said.
Sophie loved country. She always wanted to meet Taylor Swift. She had the same blond curls and straight teeth. She didn't really have the same facial features though.
"Awesome! What song?" She asked.
"Blown away. By Carrie Underwood,"
"Wow! You guys will do good at that!" She said.
"If we could practice, we would. Angela always needs her naps." I mumbled.
"Shes only two. Give her a break." Sophie said, her mood changing quickly.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever," I muttered as I left to go upstairs to my room.
I entered into the cool embrace of my room and it smelled of my strawberry perfume. I plopped down onto my pink and white zebra striped bed and flipped my T.V. on.
I turned my bedside lamp off and the room grew dark with only the light and sound of the T.V.
My eyes closed and my subconscious took me into my dreams about the battle of the bands.

The next day I woke up and took a quick shower before putting on some shorts with a purple tank top.
I walk downstairs and text Amanda to see when she'll be here.
•Soon. About five minutes•
I texted back with 'K' and looked at the clock, it read 12 in the afternoon. So, I grabbed some money from my purse and shoved it in my pocket for food and clothes.
