The battle went on and lots of bands played. We both might actually get beat this year by a band called 'Force'.

They did an old hip hop song called, 'No Diggity' and it was awesome. Everyone was dancing and laughing. They were new competition.

I stood near the front of the stage listening to the last performance. They weren't to bad, but others were better. They finished their song and left the stage. The main announcer guy came back out onto the stage and the finally turned on the lights. It was dark out now and not everyone could see.

"Hello everyone. Thank you all so much for staying tonight. Just give the judges fifteen minutes to tally up the results and I will be back to announce the winners. First place gets $500, second gets $250 and third place gets $100," he said.

I nodded and turned to Amanda, "At least we will win $100. Did you hear 'Force'? They were amazing!"

"I know, they were great," Amanda said.

I saw Hailey walking over to us and she looked mad. She stomped over and came to a halt crossing her arms.

"Gosh, 'Force' is rude," she said.

"What's they do?" I asked.

"They keep saying they're awesome and crap. Its annoying," she said.

"Just ignore them," I said, "They were good though."

"I know, but they don't have to rub it in every ones face," Hailey said.

I shrugged and turned back to the stage. The guy had come back and he tapped the microphone.

"Okay. Results are in. This years third place winner is, Lollipopz." He said.

I looked over at Hailey and you could see the excitement in it. I crossed my fingers as he announced second place.

"Second place is, The Candy Coated Devils!"

I jumped up in excitement. I grabbed Hailey and Amanda's arm and we all jumped for joy.

"Yes. We got second! That's good!!!!" We all said.

After calming down a bit he went on, "First place goes to,"

'Please be Force. Please be Force' I chanted in my head. Zane wins every year. Let them win for once.

"FORCE!" he said.

The whole crowd cheered for joy as force went on stage to thank everyone for coming and they all gave out thanks to the performers and his parents for helping them.

I looked around for Zane and his band, but couldn't find them anywhere.

I looked over at Hailey but she was already gone to collect the prize, so instead I grabbed Amanda's arm and dragged her with me to go find them.

"Why do we have to find them?" She asked as we rounded another corner.

"Because, he is probably super mad about not winning," I said.
