_________________________________________Summer hot sunlight hit her skin. She could smell the sea and hear the flowy breeze. The sand felt right between her toes and the crisp air tasted right on her lips.
Yet,
It was all wrong.
Suddenly her hand was being grasped roughly,"Come on, We don't have time to stand on the beach all day, you have to get going." The voice was chilling and hard unlike the man behind it.
But she wasn't afraid of him. He was a rude waking, but she didn't want to wake up. No she rather sleep forever and remain a dream.
It the distance not too far from her. The family played in the sand and sea as the tiny umbrellas danced around them.Their laughter bringing cold ice to her mouth. A piece of cool glass swishing around inside her. Their sunset faces burn into her as she watched them, a preying disciple.
If she listened closely enough, she could hear the smooth beep playing in tone with their laughs and giggles.
"They need you," He whispered before siting himself down next to her on the warm sand." Daisy, come back."
Why would she do that?
She was a lost balloon slowly floating away and fading into the night sky. Joining the stars at last. She shook her head in response, who was this man? Why was he talking to her? Couldn't he see she was trying to watch over her children and beloved in peace?
The breeze brushed by them harshly but the umbrella didn't wave. Polly had stuck it in well and strong and now it stood over her, a tall standing protector.
"They have Polly, they still have a mom."
Her lips moved and her voice spoke but her mind didn't remain in the conversation. The man didn't seem to think this a acceptable reason.
"So what? They need both their parents, they need the people who carry them from their sadness to joy and continues to carry them through the worst, they need you, Daisy."
Her eyes followed her children almost unconsciously always watching over them. Making sure they were safe in their childishness. Edwin red almost browned hair rushing all about on his face as he chased after his sister to and from the sea water. They were still at that special stage of childhood, where they believed the world was infinite and everything was possible, when being adults were awesome and kissing boys or girls was eww-ed and boo-ed at and watching Pokemon was mandatory.
Well in their case.
Daisy smiled and the beeping got louder, no one noticed.
She had had little time with them and it seem, she wouldn't get anymore. The man touched her arm and she felt calmer.
She could remember how lucky she felt when Polly and her discovered they had gotten approved to adopt twins. The sheer joy that shoot through her at the thought of her own family with the woman she loved after so long.
"The best two for one deal I ever got." Polly had remarked between their kisses. Soon the two three years were their world and not even Polly's parents disproving stares could discourage her smiles.
Polly older daughter also easily accepted her new family, she was eleven then and always wanted a sibling.
Daisy eyes narrowed in thought, how old was Paris now? She could have sworn she was still a teenager but..
