This chapter could also be slightly graphic and I'm not an expert on medicine so it probably isn't all correct but it's a bit of fun writing it
Thanks LydiaJoes PoV after waiting for hour on end the doctor finally called us into a small room to tell us what was going on my stomach was in my mouth as he looked at his notes before telling us what happened
Doctor: so boyfriend I'm guessing
J: yeah and this is my sister, have you got any answers for us
D: so miss buswell came to us in a state, there is something causing her stomach to contract and squeeze everything in her stomach back up her oesophagus. The only thing is every bit of food and drink has gone out of her stomach so her stomach is forcing the acids that brake the food down, up her oesophagus that is why she was saying it burns.
J: what's going to happen
D: well we expect the stomach acids have burns the bottom quarter of her oesophagus so we will need to re construct the bottom of her oesophagus so it doesn't close up fully with scar tissue. But first we need to put a camera down to see how bad the damage is and she will also need a number of scans and tests to find out what is causing her stomach to do this.
J: how is she now
D: well she is in a tacking to say the least but she is on a number of anti sickness, pain medications and muscle relaxers so she will be very loopy but we are waiting for her to wake up at the moment. The only thing is she will be in a lot of pain to speak at the moment because her throat is so raw and she will also have to be on an IV drip to give her fluids as she is very dehydrated and she will have a feeding tube for a while so her stomach doesn't contract any moreThe doctor was telling us what was wrong with her and I couldn't comprehend what was going on everything was so confusing and I was in shock of how she could be feeling fine to her in hospital with a burnt oesophagus. All I wanted now was to see her and tell her everything was going to be fine
