*January 14*
Alivia's POV
"How was your winter break?" Drummer asked as we walked out of the education hall.
"Pretty chill, I got to spend some time with Kyle during New Years. Mili and I hung out obviously. What about you?" I said as I held the straps on my backpack.
"Pretty chill." She replied as we walked to our cars. My eyes widened as I saw someone leaning on my car.
"Hey girl, I'll see you later," I told Drummer while starting our handshake.
"Later girl." She said before she walked away.
I walked up to my G Wagon and smiled at the figure.
"Hey, babe." I smiled as Kyle hugged me.
"Hey, cutie." He said before pecking my lips.
"You're done with classes for the day right?" He asked as he kept his arms draped over my shoulders.
"I am." I smiled and held his arms.
"Well, can I take my beautiful girlfriend out for lunch then?" He asked with a smile plastered on his face.
"Sure," I replied.
After I said that, he reached into the side pocket of my backpack. I chuckled as he pulled my keys out of the pocket. He took my backpack off of my shoulders and threw it in the back before getting in the driver's seat. I smiled as I got in the passenger's seat.
"I'm letting you drive my baby again," I said as he started the car.
"I did pretty well last time didn't I?" He smirked as he pulled out of my parking spot.
"Good point," I said as I watched the campus pass by us.
I sighed as I watched us pass by the gym where the girls and I practice. I sighed as I watched the girls file into the gym. Kyle honked the horn and we waved at the girls. They smiled and waved back.
"You miss it?" Kyle broke me out of my thoughts.
"More than anything," I said as I leaned against the door.
"You'll be back to it sooner than you know." He told me as he grabbed my hand.
"I'm just impatient as hell." I sighed rubbing my thumb over his hand.
"I know babe. Just stay with it." He spoke before he stopped. "I have an idea."
"And what would that be?" I asked as I watched LA blur past us.
"How about we go eat and then we'll go to The Forum and play pick up?" He said making me smile.
"I don't have a basketball though," I told him making him scratch the facial hair that he was trying to grow out.
"We'll get one." He flashed a smirk at me.
He drove until we pulled up to a little Mexican restaurant called Tortuga Bay. Kyle held my hand as we walked in. We walked in and we were seated at a booth in the back. Soon, our waiter walked up to us and took our drink order. I smiled as our waiter asked for a picture with Kyle. He came back with our drinks and we ordered. I got a chicken quesadilla and Kyle got a burrito. A few more workers walked over and took pictures with Kyle. Our waiter brought our food out to us and it was delicious.
"Give it," Kyle said as I held the tab.
"Nope." I shook my head.
"Alivia, please." He wined as I took my card out of my wallet.
