Kyle's POV
"Alivia Rooney." A lady called making my heart jump and my head pop up.
"Hey, I'm her boyfriend," I told the nurse as I walked up to her.
"Follow me, sir." She started before she led me into the hospital.
"We revived her, but we had to move her to the cancer wing due to her diagnosis. What was she doing before she passed out?" She explained making me nod.
"Her and I were playing pickup basketball," I told the nurse.
"So she was involved with physical movement?" She asked making me furrow my eyebrows.
"Isn't she every day?" I asked making the nurse roll her eyes.
"I was asking if she was doing any running or an excessive amount of movement." She told me obviously annoyed.
"Yes," I replied as we approached a hospital room.
She extended her arm, showing me that this was Alivia's room.
"Thank you," I told her before I walked in.
"Hey, baby." I smiled as I walked into the room.
"Hey." She smiled as I leaned down to hug her.
"How are you feeling?" I asked as I sat in a chair beside her bed.
"Still a little lightheaded, but I'll be ok." She nodded as I held her small hand.
"You scared the shit out of me." I chuckled making her smile.
"I'm sorry." She said as she cupped my face with one of her hands.
"Don't be. I just worry about you." I told her as I leaned my head into her hand.
"You're the sweetest." She told me as I laid my head on her bed and she played with my curls.
"I love it when you play with my curls," I spoke in a muffled tone.
"I love your curls, so it's a win for both of us." She told me as ran her fingers through my curls.
We sat in her room and waited for her doctor. We talked and joked around we heard a knock at the door.
"Come in," Alivia called making the door open.
"Ms.Rooney, Mr.Kuzma." He nodded at us. "How are you guys today?"
"Alive," Alivia replied with a humorous tone.
"Very true, Ms.Rooney I need to speak with you alone." He said as he looked at my charts.
"I've told you guys a hundred times. He's someone in my inner circle and stays." She replied making him shake his head.
"Trust me Ms.Rooney, you'll want to be alone when you hear this." He tried to convince her.
"It's ok. I'll be outside." I leaned down and kissed Alivia before I walked out of the room.
Alivia's POV
"What's up Doc?" I slightly chuckled to my reference.
"Alivia, I have been reviewing your files and the progress you have been making with your treatments." He paused before he spoke again. "Alivia, the chemo is not working fast enough. The tumor keeps growing and I can't find a way to stop it. It's gotten to the point where surgery is an option, but there's an 80% chance that it will paralyze you. We can attempt to use radiology but the danger of surgery will still arise. We can attempt to amp up your chemo treatments." He suggested as I tried to figure out what this meant
