Nathan Jones: Rise of the Frost Devil

Scene 2 "Archeological Problem"

{35 years later}

On a bright blue sunny day a helicopter flies in front of the sun with a man on the side of it, he had six legs sticking from his back that arched around to the front of his body, a pair a pinchers over his mouth, four eyes, and a scorpion's tail on his lower back. He turns his head and jumps off of the helicopter breaking the rear propeller forcing it to spin out of control. An ice-ax with a harness at the bottom hooks onto the tail of the helicopter as the helicopter begins falling. Nathan stands on top of a building gripping onto the harness connected to the end of the ax, Nathan places his feet on the wall on top of the building. He pulls back on the harness stopping the helicopter from falling. A purple mist wraps around the helicopter as the ice-ax unhooks.

Nathan Jones- (Into his Bluetooth) "Nice catch."

Megan Topps- (Over Bluetooth) "I'm not done yet. I still have to get everyone out."

Nathan Jones- (into his Bluetooth) "Hey babe, maybe after this we can get some of Joe's cafe?"

Megan Topps- (Over Bluetooth) "Wasn't that destroyed?"

Nathan Jones- (Into his Bluetooth) "No it relocated. I saw it on the way here."

Megan Topps- (Over Bluetooth) "Maybe."

Andy Rod- (Over Bluetooth) "Can you guys not be lovey-dovey yet. We have to beat this monster."

Megan Topps- (Over Bluetooth) "He's right, Nathan get to it."

Nathan Jones- "Understood."

Nathan fastens two ice-axes to the roof and stands on the edge looking down, he exhales before he drops. Halfway down the building, the harnesses lock themselves as Nathan taps his heels onto the outside of the building softly, he places the harnesses to hooks onto metal shoulder straps wrapped around his sweater. While the harnesses hold him against the building he counts to three before a ball of fire goes off in the distance.

Nathan Jones- (Into his Bluetooth) "Easy Andy, we don't want to burn down the city."

Over by Andy, Andy runs as the massive monster runs after him. The monster swings its tail at him missing with every shot.

Andy Rod- "Yeah, that's not easy when you're being chased by an eight-foot scorpion."

Back by Nathan.

Megan Topps- (Over Bluetooth) "Guys please, we've been after Arachnoking for three months I'm not about to lose him again.

Nathan Jones- "She's right. Andy? See if you can draw Arachnoking to me."

Andy Rod- (Over Bluetooth) "I'll try, he's putting up one hell of a fight."

Nathan draws an ice-ax from his boot and kneels on the side of the building. Megan levitates past him while she places the helicopter down onto a helipad on top of the building Nathan was on. When she made sure everyone was out she seen a leak coming from the side, she begins to look worried.

Megan Topps- (into her Bluetooth) "Andy don't bring him over here."

Nathan Jones- (Over headset) "What? Why not?"

Megan Topps- "Because, we have a gas leak on top of the building you're on Nathan, one wrong move by Andy and this whole building is coming down..."

Nathan Jones- (Over headset) "So?"

Megan Topps- "It's draining into the air duct."

Nathan Jones- (Into her Bluetooth) "Oh don't worry, we got this."

Megan Topps- "Nathan, this isn't like fighting Psycho Sand."

Nathan Jones- (Over Bluetooth) "I know."
