Nathan Jones: Rise of the Frost Devil

Scene 9 "Thirty years of love"

Nathan and Megan walk down the street with people looking at them, they walk past a store with shirts hanging in the window. The shirts said "Welcome back Frost Devil" and "The good witch lives". Nathan and Megan continue walking to a building with a giant cup of coffee on the sign, it was labeled "Joe's coffee". Nathan and Megan enter the building seeing old man Joe behind the counter washing the coffee maker. Nathan whistles as Joe turns around, confused at first Joe begins asking "Who are you?" After a moment Joe sees Nathan and begins smiling, Joe tells them to pick any table. Nathan and Megan walk to a table while holding hands, after passing two tables they sit at table booth three. Megan looks at Nathan as Joe gives them menus.

Megan Topps- (Smiling) "Nathan, why did you drag me to this building?"

Nathan looks around while he taps his hand on the table to the beat of the music from the radio. The radio had been playing music from the '60s to the '80s, Nathan looks at Megan with a smile on his face.

Nathan Jones- "Because love, if you didn't realize it. Today marks our thirty-third year knowing each other, and this was our table we sat at when the meteorite fell and I ended up in the hospital."

Joe overhears Nathan talking about the thirty-third year and begins celebrating with singing and dancing to the music. When Joe got to their table he looks at Nathan and tells him he's going to be a great father, then Joe looks at Megan and tells her she's going to make a great mother. Joe gives them both a cup of french vanilla coffee.

Megan Topps- (looking up at Joe) "Joe, we didn't order coffee though."

Joe- "Don't worry, I know it's your guys' favorite."

Megan Topps- "But how'd you know?"

Joe looks at her winks and tells her it's on the house for celebrating. Megan nods in agreement and tells Joe what she'll have.

Megan Topps- "I'll have a cheeseburger, fries, and a blueberry pie."

Joe looks at her with concern on his face and asks her why she's ordering so much food. Nathan looks at him and explains that she's not just feeding for one, Joe looks at them both with a bigger smile on his face than before.

Joe- "I must've forgotten that you two are going to be parents."

Joe leaves the table while smiling as Nathan looks at Megan, she puts her hands on the table. Nathan grabs her hand and kisses it.

Nathan Jones- (Looking at Megan while smiling) "You know I'll do anything for you and the little one, right?"

Megan Topps- (While smiling) "I know, you tell me every day."

Nathan lets go of her hand and reaches into his pocket, Megan looks at him in curiosity. Nathan tells her to close her eyes when she covers her eyes Nathan pulls out a box covered in wrapping paper. He tells her to open her eyes when she sees the box she blushes before grabbing it and tearing the paper off.

Megan Topps- "Babe you didn't have to get me anything..."

Her voice fades as she gets a shocked look on her face as she opens a black box with a necklace shaped like a heart with their initials engraved on it inside of it.

Megan Topps- (With awe) "It's a heart with our initials in it."

Nathan Jones- "Allow me to put it on you."

They both stand up as Megan's hands the box to him, Nathan takes the necklace and puts it around her neck. When the necklace was on her they sit back down as Joe comes back with Megan's meal.

Megan Topps- "Thank you."

Nathan watches Megan eat with a smile on his face.

Nathan Jones- "Do you know any way of beating Jason without him killing me? (Megan looks at him) It's just in case he comes back around here."

Megan Topps- "Let's not talk about him right now."

Nathan Jones- "Ok, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring him up like that."

Megan Topps- "Thank you."

Megan grabs the ketchup bottle and pours it on her fries.

Nathan Jones- "I just wonder what Psycho Sand, I mean The Son of Psycho Sand is doing and planning right now?"

Megan raises an eyebrow and nods while she puts a fry into her mouth.

In an abandoned building with a forest behind it, Brian begins breaking objects with sandstone while Jason pulls solid icicles out from his side. The wounds close as black beetles run past it. Brian hears objects breaking in another room, he walks into a room with burnt chainlink marks on the walls and the floor on fire.

Brian Rebel- (Yells) "Ryan... (Ryan breaks a metal bed) Ryan?"

Long chains on fire get inhaled by Ryan's palms as Ryan turns around with a silver flame sparking into a flame from his eyes. When Brian sees Ryan's eyes he jumps back losing his smile.

Brian Rebel- "Ryan, what happened to you?"

Ryan Douglas- "I took it, I took his power."

Jason walks in behind Brian when Jason sees Ryan his jaw drops.

Brian Rebel- "Who? Whose power did you take?"

Ryan extends his wrists as the flaming chains fall from palms, he whips the chains at the wall splitting it and setting it on fire. Ryan looks back at Brian.

Ryan Douglas- "That fire guy, whatever his name was... Andrew or something like that."

The chains reenter Ryan's palms as he closes them, Brian smiles again as he looks at Jason then back to Ryan.

Brian Rebel- "Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking?"

Jason Corvin- "We use Ryan's new power upgrade to kill Nathan so I can have Megan for myself."

Brian Rebel- (Smacks Jason) "No, when we were in the white house I heard that there's a military base close to us that have been working on artificial intelligence. Meaning they're making robots that can out think us humans, but now that I think about it Ryan can easily just kill that damn Nathan Jones."

Ryan looks at Brian and Jason.

Ryan Douglas- "I'm In."

Jason Corvin- "Me too."

Jason, Ryan, and Brian grin evilly.
