Nathan Jones: Rise of the Frost Devil

Scene 4 "Over Protection"

In the bunker, Nathan, Andy, and Megan enter the lab as K.J. stands there looking at them in disbelief. He stands there tapping his foot on the floor as Nathan, Megan, and Andy sit down, Dr. Strain takes Megan's uniform from her and looks it over as K.J. walks up to Nathan.

K.J.- (Looks at Megan) "What the hell was that Megan? Asking how expensive the building was, It felt like you were Andy about to set a fire on the town. (Looking at Nathan) Damn it, Nathan, you need to keep your girlfriend in line, we can't be blowing up buildings up whenever we want. (Megan walks away angry) Nathan tell her to get back here."

Nathan Jones- (Aggressive) "She's a grown women dad, she can make up her own mind. We're not kids anymore..."

K.J.- (Interrupting) "You can't be trusted on the streets in an unknown world, that's why I'm giving you your own guards to follow you around until I feel you're ready to be free from them. Also, I'm separating your's and Megan's room."

Nathan Jones- "Why?"

K.J.- "Because I don't feel like having grandkids yet."

Nathan walks to the door to the hallway with Andy behind him.

Nathan Jones- "One more night then we split. Done deal? Let's go, Andy."

Nathan and Andy leave the room and make their way down the hallway, Nathan turns his head looking down another hallway seeing Megan sitting against a wall crying.

Nathan Jones- (In disbelief) "My dad said we have to split rooms because he thinks we're going to give him early grandkids. (Megan looks up at him with tears running down her face) Don't worry I told him one more night, but I'll make a second copy of my key card for you to come in at any time you want."

Megan looks at Andy then back to Nathan While wiping the tears with her sleeve.

Megan Topps- (Wipes tears) "I hate your dad, (Begins groaning) I don't want to be in a separate room Nathan, I want to be with you. Don't worry about making another card, I can just use my magic to pick the lock."

Andy Rod- (Whispers in Nathan's ear) "Your dad's kinda mean."

Nathan Jones- (Looks at him) "I know. All of this time I wanted to meet him and now I don't want to."

Nathan looks at Megan and puts his hand out to help her off of the floor, Megan grabs hold and gets pulled up into a hug. Nathan kisses her forehead.

Nathan Jones- (Whispers) "Come on. We have one last night in the same room. Let's make it worth it."

Megan looks up while Nathan goes to walk and stops him.

Megan Topps- "Wait, where are we going?"

Nathan Jones- "You'll see."

She begins walking with Nathan again as Andy walks behind them, Nathan walks Megan and himself to Nathan's room the door closes as Andy walks into it. Andy stares blankly at the closed door.

Andy Rod- "I'll wait for you to be done talking... if that's what you're doing."

Nathan and Megan sit on Nathan's bed. His room was clean and his bed was made. Around the room hung posters and the letter from K.J. Nathan stands up and walks over to his closet, he opens it and grabs a bottle of alcohol and two glasses.

Nathan Jones- (Looking at Megan) "Do you remember when we first met?"

Megan Topps- (Looking at him with wonder) "Yeah, it was your high school graduation. Why?"

Nathan Jones- (Walking to Megan) "Do you remember the first word I said to you?"

Nathan sits on the bed and hands her a glass and pours some alcohol into the glass
