Nathan Jones: Rise of the Frost Devil

Scene 17 "The Memorial"

Nathan walks down the hallway and enters his bedroom, he opens the door to Megan sitting on the bed and the two babies sleeping in their cribs. Nathan makes his way over to Megan and sits next to her.

Nathan Jones- "Andy's memorial is in an hour, you should get ready."

Megan looks at him.

Megan Topps- "Who's going to watch the kids?"

Nathan Jones- (looking at Megan) "I'll get my dad too."

Megan Topps- (Looking at Nathan) "letting go of Andy is one of the hardest things I've had to do."

Nathan Jones- "I know."

Megan sits up next to Nathan, she hugs him for a moment, he hugs back. Megan gets up and heads to the bathroom to get ready. Nathan pulls a cell phone from his pocket and calls K.J., after a few rings he picks up.

K.J.- (Over the phone) "Yeah?"

Nathan Jones- "Dad, can you watch the kids while Megan and I go to the memorial?"

K.J.- (Over the phone) "Yeah I'll be there in a bit."

Nathan Jones- "Thank you, bye."

Nathan hangs up as Megan comes out of the bathroom with a black dress on, she was staring at Nathan with a tear dripping off of her face. Nathan stands up and places the phone on the bed, he walks over to her and hugs her placing his head on her head.

Megan Topps- (Crying) "I miss him."

Nathan Jones- "I know, I miss him too. (Looks at her) You don't have to go if you don't want to."

Megan Topps- "I'm going, he was there for us. We both need to be there for him."

Megan hugs him again as the bedroom door opens and K.J. walks in. He sees them and quietly sits on the bed. After a brief moment, Nathan lets her go.

Nathan Jones- "I have to change or we'll miss the memorial."

Megan Topps- (Whispers) "OK."

Nathan walks around her and enters the bathroom closing the door behind him. Megan looks at K.J. as he starts talking.

K.J.- "If it makes you feel better, you and Nathan can share this room. Besides we have to make room."

Megan Topps- (Wiping her eyes) "For what?"

K.J.- "I don't know if Nathan told you but I'm starting up a team of highly skilled and powerful individuals with powers such as yourself. (Megan looks at him with confusion) They'll be called The Fallen Angels, this world will know of them and so will any other planets with life."

Megan Topps- "Count me in."

K.J.- "Excuse me. Do you want to be in? Without any thinking? Are you sure?"

Megan Topps- "Yes, if anyone hurts my family that includes Andy, they will pay what they did. I won't hold back."

K.J.- "Megan, are you alright?"

Megan Topps- "I'm fine. (walks around the room) I'm still allowed to be in this room right?"

K.J.- "Of course."

Megan makes her way to one of the cribs, she looks into it. She reaches into it and grabs a bottle from the corner and puts it in the baby's mouth. After a moment she places the bottle on Nathan's dresser and walks over to the bed.

Megan Topps- (Looking at K.J.) "Mr. Jones, thank you."

Nathan opens the door to the bathroom, he was dressed in a black suit and dress shoes, his white hair was combed to one side. He walked over to Megan and K.J.
