Nathan Jones: Rise of the Frost Devil

Scene 10 "Signs of Evil"

At Joe's cafe Nathan holds the door open as Megan walks out onto the sidewalk, Joe yells "Happy anniversary" as Nathan waves him goodbye. Nathan and Megan begin walking down the street while holding hands, they pass a little girl drawing with chalk on the sidewalk, Megan stops and looks down at the drawing. The drawing was a woman with big yellow glowing eyes, Nathan looks down at it then kneels down to the little girl. Megan looks on with wonder.

Nathan Jones- (Smiling) "What are you drawing?"

The little girl looks up at Nathan and Megan with a big smile.

The little girl- (Smiling) "Her name's Amelia, she likes to visit me in my dreams."

Megan Topps- "Really, what does she do in these dreams?"

The little girl- "She tells me that she's coming to rule the earth."

Megan's smile fades while Nathan places his index finger on the sidewalk and begins drawing, after a moment Nathan stands up with his white hair flowing past his ears. Megan and the little girl smile while looking at Nathan's drawing. The drawing was of Nathan, Megan, and a crib all next to each other. The little girl looks at Megan.

The little girl- "You're going to make a great mother."

The little girl's eyes change from blue to glowing yellow, Megan backs up behind Nathan and begins trying to pull him in fear. Nathan looks at the little girl's eyes and turns to walk away, partly down the street Nathan begins thinking.

Nathan Jones- (Whispering) "That was weird."

Megan looks back for the little girl only to an empty space. The little girl vanished from sight.

Megan Topps- (Looking at Nathan) "Yeah weird."

Nathan Jones- (Looking at Megan) "Oh, I heard my stepdad's around here somewhere. Do you want to give him the news about the little one on its way?"

Megan stops him and gazes at him for a second, she smiles.

Megan Topps- "You're really happy about being a dad aren't you?"

Nathan looks at her with a bit of a smile on his face, they turn and begin walking again.

Nathan Jones- "Well yeah, if there's anyone I would marry and have a kid with, I'd want it to be you."

Megan blushes as they continue walking.

Megan Topps- "Let's go find Henry... Frost Devil."

They continue walking down the street while holding hands.

{Military base}

A group of military men runs around as alarms blare, vehicles explode going up in flames. Ryan throws his chains at military men while Jason draws his sword from his scabbard and begins killing people. Brian rides a wave of sand into the base. As Jason and Ryan make a way inside of a building Brian looks for a computer and begins hacking it. He begins seeing a filled "Project Hardwire" on the photo was an outline of a girl with robotic parts and a human brain. Brian began downloading them onto a flash drive with Jason and Ryan watching out for more military men.

Ryan Douglas- "How long will this take?"

Jason Corvin- "Come on Brian."

Brian Rebel- "Almost done."

Brian stares at the screen as three other files download, the blueprints had robotic men and women on them. After the files were downloaded Brian pulled the flash drive from the computer and placed it back in his pocket.

Brian Rebel- "I got it, let's head back to the building."

Brian, Jason, and Ryan all run down a hallway. When they got outside they looked around seeing everything on fire everything except an armored van. They rush over to it and get in, they drive and break through the fencing.

Jason Corvin- "We're coming to find you, Nathan."

Brian Rebel- "No, we're getting something better... Megan."

Jason smiles evilly while they drive down the street.

{Electric company}

At an electrician's office, Nathan and Megan walk up the receptionist's desk and ask for a Henry Jordans. The lady calls Henry on her radio then tells them to wait for a bit.

Megan Topps- (Seeing Nathan's nervous) "Relax, you'll do fine."

Nathan Jones- (Looking at Megan) "I know but what do I say to him? I haven't seen him in over thirty years."

Megan places her hands on his shoulders and tells him to breathe, Nathan takes a deep breath as he hears a pair of shoes walking towards him. Nathan and Megan look down the hall as a tall slender old man walks up to them. He had on brown pants and a blue shirt with overalls around it when he saw Nathan his smile grew to his ears. Henry stopped in front of Nathan and Megan with a tear in his eye. Nathan and Megan stand up and walk over to him. He spoke in a soft and calming voice.

Oldman Henry- "Nathan (Hugs Nathan) I thought you died. (Lets go of Him) I feared I was alone in this world again, but then I saw you on the news a few days ago and I thought it wasn't real. (Sees Megan) Megan? I... I don't know what to say but you look beautiful as usual."

Megan Topps- "Mr. Jordans."

Oldman Henry- "Please call me Henry."

Megan Topp- "Henry you don't have to say anything because Nathan here has something he wants to say to you."

Megan and Henry look at Nathan. Nathan leads Henry to the lobbies waiting room and sits him down.

Nathan Jones- (Looks at Megan) "I'm a little nervous to tell you."

Megan Topps- (Calmly) "You can tell him."

Nathan looks at Henry.

Nathan Jones- "Dad, what I'm about to say will make you happier. Are you ready? (Henry nods in excitement) Dad, I'm going to be... whelp a dad."

Henry sits back with eyes widening, after a moment of silence Henry begins tearing up as Nathan leans down and hugs him. Henry lets go of Nathan while standing up.

Oldman Henry- (Looks at Megan)"When?"

Nathan Jones- (Henry looks at Nathan) "Around seven months, but Dr. Strain said it might be sooner rather than later."

Oldman Henry- (Looking sad) "Oh, Nathan? I'm not going to be here for it."

Nathan looks on in wonder and curiosity.

Nathan Jones- "What, why not?"

Oldman Henry- "I got a promotion. I have to be in Las Vegas starting next Friday. (Nathan looks at the floor) I'm sorry Nathan, but I'll be here for your friends memorial."

Henry walks Nathan back to Megan, Megan sees Nathan's face and begins wondering.

Oldman Henry- "At least you got to see me before I left, (Looking at Megan) Oh and Megan. (Megan looks) You look beautiful, I have to get back to work."

Megan Topps- "Thank you."

Henry turns around and leaves, Megan looks at Nathan.

Megan Topps- "Babe what's wrong? What does he mean by before he left?"

Nathan looks at her and heads towards the door, he gets stopped as Megan grabs his arm. Nathan looks at her then moves her hand away from him.

Megan Topps- "You can tell me."

Nathan Jones- "Forget about it."

Nathan turns and walks out the door, Megan runs after him. Outside Megan looks around for Nathan, after not seeing him anywhere in site a tear begins falling from her face as dark clouds cover the sky and begin raining.
