Scene 11 "The Gift"

{The abandoned building}

Brian and Jason walk up to Ryan as Ryan come out from under the van. Ryan had grease and oil all over his clothes.

Brian Rebel- "How's the van?"

Ryan Douglas- (Looking up at Brian) "She should be ready to go. The military won't find their missing vehicle now that I've scraped it from its armor."

Brian Rebel- "Good."

Jason Crovin- "Now we just need to find out where Megan is. Got any Ideas?"

Brian Rebel- "No."

Ryan Douglas- (Standing up) "I think I know where she is."

Jason Corvin- (Eyes turn red) "Where?"

Ryan Douglas- (Walks to a toolbox) "If I'm not wrong she should be at Joe's cafe."

Brian Rebel- "Now how do you know this?"

Ryan Douglas- (Wiping grease from his hands) "When I was younger before I got sent to prison I passed her and Nathan up. They went into Joe's cafe."

Jason Corvin- "If you're wrong, I'll kill you."

Brian Rebel- "Easy big guy."

Ryan Douglas- "Don't believe me? Then let's go find out."

Ryan opens the van's driver door.

Jason Corvin- "What about the license plate?"

Brian Rebel- "Brake it. Isn't that what you're good at?"

Jason grabs the license plate on the front of the van and pulls the bumper off.

Jason Corvin- (While entering the van) "My bad."

Ryan starts the engine and begins driving.

Megan begins walking back up the street to Joe's cafe not seeing Nathan sitting on top of a building listening to his walkmen and writing on a piece of paper. Inside of Joe's cafe, the cafe was empty except for Joe who was cleaning the counter with the radio off. Megan opens the door she walks over and sits down at table three with her head lying in her arms, she begins crying as Nathan's reflection looks through the window looking at her.

Nathan Jones- "I'm sorry."

Nathan places a note on the window and walks away, still listening to music, Megan looks up out the window with tears running down her face. She sees the note and begins reading it through the window. "Megan, Henry told me he's leaving town for Vegas for a job promotion and that got me thinking about my mother and sister's death. Me leaving isn't your fault, so don't blame yourself. Love Nathan." Megan looks at the note as Joe walks up to her and tells her that he's closing.

Megan Topps- (Looking at Joe) "Ok."

Megan gets up from the booth and heads towards the door, she opens the door and heads outside. Megan walks over to the note and grabs it placing it into her pocket. She begins to walk away until a van without front bumper drives next to her, Jason and Brian jump out of the van, Jason covers her mouth as Brian ties her hands to her side.

Jason Corvin- "Miss me?"

They throw her in the van and drive away. Joe comes out panicking, he looks around while yelling for help. Joe looks at the roof of the cafe seeing Nathan sitting up there.

Joe- "Nathan, some guys just took your girlfriend."

Nathan looks down at Joe with sadness on his face and drops from the roof.

Nathan Jones- "What's the problem, Joe?"

Joe- (Pointing down the street) "Some guys just grabbed your girlfriend and drove off."
