The Sky Army's Defeat- Chapter One: The Cell

The squid king chuckled from by the bars. "We've finally broken you huh?" it mused.

It paused for a moment. "After years and years of conflict, all it took was destroying your precious army."

The General glared at the king, his eyes showing his pain and despair under the hateful glance.

The king laughed maliciously over the General at his vulnerability. Seriously? This general was the one that all of Minecraftia was raving about?

"What are you going to do now Sky? Your army has fallen. We win."

"No." the general growled with sudden force and determination

The king's smile dropped. "Excuse me?"

"You'll never defeat us. Kill us by the thousands, enslave us, torture us, hell even kill me, but we will still stand tall. Sky Army cannot and will not be defeated because. We. Are. Everywhere." the general snarled.

The king stared at the general for what felt like an eternity before smirking and turning to walk away.

"Whatever floats your boat Sky."

This angered the general. "You will never defeat us, Squid! We will prevail in the end!" He yelled after it.

The king laughed as he left, then muttered to himself. "Sure, Sky, sure."

The General, seeing that the humanoid wouldn't be returning, crawled over to a wall and curled up into a ball.

He couldn't believe it.

His army... gone.

All of his beloved recruits, either dead or soon to be turned against him.

He had failed them and, honestly, wouldn't blame them if they willingly joined the squids.

Then the first of the screams started.

They rang in his ears, tortured and broken as they echoed through his small cell.

He ran up to the bars and cried out to the squids, begging them for mercy on his poor recruits.

He stood there for hours, screaming till he could no longer talk, then went to banging on the bars till his hands were numb.

Soon, the poor General couldn't take it anymore and slid down the nearest wall, covering his ears and shaking uncontrollably.

The screams seemed to echo in his ears long after they had ended.

They grew louder, louder and more plentiful.

It tore the general apart to hear the screams of his people.

He longed to end their pain, see them, let them know it'll be okay, to tell them to not give up.

These squids have not see the last of Sky army. We will come back, and when we do, I will personally make sure you suffer. The general promised silently as if the king could read his thoughts. You'll see, King Squid, You'll see.
