Two swords collided with a clang, one easily overpowering the other and pushing it to the floor.

"Dang Sarah, any more strength in that and my sword would break!" A male exclaimed, grinning madly.

A girl chuckled and helped her mentor up.

"Sorry Sir. Maybe you should join the girls on the battle field while I take your place as General." Sarah joked, placing her practice sword where it belongs.

The General rolled his brown eyes and did the same as Sarah had.

"C'mon. I think it's time for some rest."

"Commander Mitch?"

"Yes?" The male asked, turning on his heel to face the brown haired girl.

"Never mind. I forgot what I was going to ask."

Mitch smiled softly and nodded, turning back around and walking out the training area door.

Later that night, after all of the Benjas had gone to sleep, Sarah lay tossing and turning, sleep refusing to come to her.

She sighed in aggravation a few minutes later and went outside to take a walk.

The night air was cool and calm as apposed to that afternoon's hot and loud atmosphere.

Sarah inhaled slowly, closing her eyes and enjoying the quiet breeze.

Something felt off about it though, almost as though it were too quiet.

Reopening her light green eyes and pulling her chestnut brown hair with purple highlights back into a small ponytail, she walked along the tree line.

A forest surrounded the small Benja camp, leaving it almost isolated, and making it the best place to train for combat.

Sarah was one of the best fighters in her camp, making her relationship with the General more than just a recruit in his army.

Her senses kicked in instantly as a blue blur caught her peripheral vision and she gripped her sword handle.

She eyed the trees wearily and walked slowly, her ears listening closely.

Another blue blur caught her eye and she spun towards it.

"Who goes there?!" She yelled shakily.

Nothing.

Slowly, she took a step back, followed by another.

Then, everything happened all at once.

Thousands of squids ran out of the brush, black eyes filled with hatred and vengeance.

"Squids!" Sarah shouted as one wrapped it's slimy tenticals around her torso.

She struggled against its tight grasp as it forced her hands to her side, making her unable to fight back.

A larger squid humanoid walked towards the two, an evil grin spread across it's face.

"Bring her back with us. She'll make an excellent asset to the army."

The squid bowed slightly. "Yes my king." It muttered, slithering off towards the castle.

Sarah kicked and screamed using any attempt she had at breaking free, but it was no use.

Realizing her fate, she glared at the squid and allowed her muscles to relax.

The screams of her fellow Benjas could be heard echoing over the land as the squid dragged Sarah into the large base.

Twisting and turning through long hallways, the two finally made if to their destination and the squid threw Sarah inside a cell.

"Your friends shall join you shortly." it sneered, slamming the door shut and slithering away.

Sarah growled a curse under her breath and curled up into a ball against the cell wall.

She felt stupid for allowing the squids to capture her so easily, weak for not escaping, and afraid of what they had in mind.

The squids were not a common enemy to the Benjas, but they never showed up unless the Benjas were weak.

Sarah laid her head in her arms and let a few tears fall.

Next time, she would show no weakness.

Next time, they won't stand a chance.
