"So it's like mommy didn't miss anything"

~Nick's Pov~

Yet another month and no Emma. My birthday is next week and all I want is Emma. I sat in the hospital for 6 hours yesterday before I went home. I don't know what I've become. I don't know how to live without her.

Evelyn keeps me happy everyday. I smile just looking at her because she looks just like Emma. When she smiles it's like nothing in the world is wrong. She is absolutely the silver lining in the cloud.

"Daddy can we go get ice cream" Evelyn asked walking into the room.

"Of course, just let me get dressed" I said. I got up and put on some sweats and a hoodie. I walked downstairs and grabbed the car keys.

"Let's go Eve" I yelled. She walked downstairs and picked up a water.

"I want a swirl" She said in the back of the car.

"That's awesome, what should I get" I asked.

"Chocolate, that's mommy's favorite" She said. I never knew that.

"Wow I love chocolate" I said. She laughed. We pulled into the ice cream parlor. I ordered the stuff.

"Do you want any toppings" I asked.

"Cookie and hot fudge, Mommy likes to get that" She said. I ordered hers. We sat at a table eating. I noticed her picking the ice cream up with the back of the spoon. Emma would pick up her ice cream with the back of the spoon. Evelyn has been starting to pick up a lot if Emma's traits.

"So, are you ready to start school with the other kids" I asked. Next September she is going to start school.

"Daddy that is in another year" She giggled. She sounded just like Emma. I looked at her.

"Evelyn why have you been choosing a lot of mommys things" I asked.

"Because when mommy comes back I can tell her that I lived for her. I ate ice cream for her, I wore her shoes for her, I did my hair like she did hers. So it's like mommy didn't miss anything" She said. She really loves Emma.

"You know you can talk to me right" I said.

"To be honest, I miss mommy a lot and I just want to pretend that she is here with me all the time."

"What do you say to mommy when see her"

"Well that's a secret" She giggled.

"Well why do you lay on her chest"

"Ummm...because I can hear mommy talking to me. I hear her answering me"

"Oh" I don't know what to say to her. She just misses Emma.

"I want to go see mommy" She said.

"Ok let's go" I said. I threw away her garbage and walked her to the car. She got in the back and I drove to the hospital.

"Mommy" Evelyn said walking to her. I just watched from a distance. Evelyn whispered in Emma's ear and layed on her chest like always. But this time something different happened.

The machines in the room started beeping uncontrollably. And Emma's finger moved. A whole lot of nurses and doctors ran into the room and Evelyn backed away. I pulled her closer to me.

What is going on.

~Emma's Pov, Coma~

The same thing everytime. I've watched the same episode like a thousand times. My goal is to see what I am writing and to get back to my family. I don't want them to date away again.

I sat in the same chair and wrote those blurry words. If only I could figure out what they were saying. I threw the pen across the room. I was tired of the same thing and not understanding anything. I picked up the chair and threw it through the glass.

It shattered. I pushed the keyboard and flipped the desk. I was annoy, irritated, tired. Then Nadia started crying. I walked up the stairs.

"I got it" I said. I fed her.

"Do you want to go to the boys house" Nick asked.

"Why not, can you just have Dominic and Dante over" I said.

"Of course Amore" He said. I rolled my eyes at his answer. We packed up the car. I put Nadia in and Evelyn got in next to her. Nick drove us to the boys house.

"Hey guys" I said.

"Hey Emma" They said. I was actually able to talk to them.

"Mommy" Evelyn said. She mouth the word. I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I wanted to scream but my voice stopped in its tracks. Everyone was looking at me.

"Mommy" Evelyn screamed.

"Emma" Nick and Zion screamed. Then I saw Dante and Marissa. I was so confused as to why they were standing. Everyone else was sitting. Then I felt away from myself. I was looking at myself suffer.

Then I watched the scene change I was in the studio. I was writing.  I looked over my own shoulder and the words were clear. As I started to read Nadia started crying but it seem closer. I looked around the room and saw them in the booth.

They all slowly faded away.

NICK, EVELYN, NADIA" I screamed. Then I shot up and I was breathing heavily.

~Emma out of Coma~

I looked around the room. There were many doctors around me. I turned and saw Nick, Evelyn, Dante, Marissa, and Zion.

"Emma" I heard Nick say quietly.

"Nadia" I choked out. They all gave me confused looks.

"She needs water" Dante yelled. A doctor ran out of the room. He came back instantly with water. I gulped it down.

"Nadia, where's Nadia" I asked louder.

"Emma who is Nadia" Marissa asked.

"MY BABY, MY NADIA" I yelled.

"Emma your baby didn't make it" Dante said sincerely. I gave him a blank face. Nick walked up to me and hugged me. He held on for dear life.

"Don't you ever leave me again" He whispered. I felt a tear hit my head.

"Nick Evelyn is in here" I said.

"I know" he said. Evelyn walked over to me.

"Hi mommy" She said.

"Hi tesoro" I said.

"How was your sleep, did you dream of me"

"Every second" I said.

"Wow, did you hear me say the words mommy, I heard you answer me. You said Never every time" She said so cheery.

"Yes" I said awkwardly. Everyone looked at us.

"Emma we missed you so much" Zion said.

"How long was I out" I asked.

"Two months, 1 week, 6 days, 15 hours, 37-38 seconds" Nick said. I gave him a sad look.

"I'm so sorry baby, I didn't want to leave you" I whispered. He just nodded.

"When can I go home" I asked the nurse.

"If you are ready now you can" She said.

"I'm more than ready" I smiled at everyone.

Now I was home. Now everything was normal.
