I know my mistakes and I regret it
I'm sad and I miss you
Our laughter and our smiles
All the moments spent together
I was wrong to wish for death
Because now, you are gone
I am left alone
Drifting right through reality
Eyelids heavy with tears and sadness
Barely able to open through the weight
Lips turned down in a frown
Unable to muster even a slight smile
Left without an anchor
Never thought that you'd surrender
What happened to the promises we made?
Wasn't given enough time to be fulfilled
I want to hold you in my arms again so bad
I am ashamed to say I wanna go after you
But as easy it is to give up and give in
I will choose to overcome life and honor you by living and remembering for you.
