You're Like Family Kid.

Summary:
Everyone is grieving Tony who was dead. Or so everyone thought. The only people that know Tony is still alive is Pepper, Morgan and Happy (Along with Fury and some members of Shield). They want Peter to join that list.

"Pepper? You there?" Tony said in the air.

He was currently healing at one of his multiple safe houses. His arm and parts of his body were very damaged with multiple severe burns, wounds, and more. But, he survived. Very barely.

He thought he was going to die before, Pepper said her goodbyes and Peter apologized to him while a sobbing mess. Apparently he just fainted and was in a coma for two weeks. There was a funeral held because it was apparent Tony wasn't going to make it. Out of some miracle he woke up. Some of the worlds best surgeons and doctors were called, patching up Tony. He wanted it to stay a secret that he was alive so he can heal quietly.

The people he wanted to know he was alive already knew, besides Peter.

Tony didn't want to tell Peter at first. He knew the kid was heartbroken, but Tony wanted to heal a little more so Peter doesn't have to see him in a bad state. As soon as he was able to walk out of bed freely he wanted Peter to know.

Today was that day.

As soon as Tony got out of bed and got used to walking again. He called Pepper by Friday.

He was waiting for an answer when

"Yeah Tony. I'm here." Pepper said

"I can walk out of bed now." Tony said

"I'll get Peter. Are you sure you want to do this?" Pepper said

"Yeah. Pep. Is he doing okay?" Tony said

"Not really..but he's gotten better after these past couple months. He comes by everyday after school and patrol to bond with Morgan. He's really filling in the spot of older brother. She really looks up to Peter. Kind of how he looked up to you." Pepper laughed slightly

Tony smiled.

"I'm sure I want to see him, and you, and Morgan. Please..I need all of you. It's..I need my family." Tony said "And Happy can come to. Guys like a best friend to me."

Pepper didn't say anything but Tony knew he was smiling.

"You've gotten real soft there Tony. I love it. I'll see you in a little bit. Or..we'll see you in a little bit." Pepper said and hang up

"Friday?" Tony said

"Yes Tony?" The AI suddenly said

"Wake me up when they are near here. I'm gonna take a nap." Tony said

"Will do sir." The AI said and sounded happy at the joke

~ Time Skip ~

"Where are we going?" Peter said as him, Pepper, Morgan and Happy made it to the Shield building, walking through the halls and going into the elevator.

"Peter. I..I want you to be prepared for what we are about to show you." Pepper said suddenly

"It's not going to be easy to see this. But you will be so happy afterward." Happy said

"You guys are really starting to scare me. What is it?" Peter said

"You'll see!" Morgan said cheerfully

The elevator stopped and they all walked down a couple more halls, all to a room.

They all looked at Peter.

"Go in first." Pepper said and opened the door for him.

Peter took a deep breath, unaware for what's to come. He slowly walked into the room and the door was closed behind him.

Peter looked at the door closing behind him and then looked around the room. Stopping immediately when he sees...him.

Peter shakes his head and blinks a couple times.

"N..no..Peter this is just your mind playing tricks again.." Peter said and shook his head

"No Peter..it's me.." Tony said and got off the bed, slowly walking towards Peter who immediately flinched and backed up

"N-no..stop." Peter said

"Peter. It's me. Tony. I'm sorry I meant to tell you before but I was healing. I never died. I was just in a coma for a bit. For some reason I woke up. I wanted to tell you but I didn't have the damn heart to let you see me when I was a mess on the bed." Tony said

"Y-you're lying to me." Peter said

"No I'm not Peter. I'm alive..if you want a hug. I'll give you one." Tony said

Peter stared at Tony, tears rushing down his face.

"M-Mr. Stark..?" Peter said

"Yeah, kid?" Tony said

Peter smiled upon hearing the nickname again and immediately ran upto his mentor, hugging him.

"I-I thought you were g..gone forever. I'm sorry..I'm sorry M-Mr. Stark. I should've..I should've-"

"Shhhh. Kid there was nothing you could do. You did all you could and you did amazing. You're like family to me kid. I didn't want to break your heart more if you saw how I was before." Tony said, hugging the kid he thought of as a son.

"I..I missed you so m...much Mr. Stark..." Peter said "I'm so glad your back.."

The door opened and everyone walked in.

Pepper and Morgan slowly walked over to Tony and Peter, hugging them tightly.

They all were hugging and crying into eachother, Tony looked down and wiped the tears off of Morgan's face, Pepper smiled and did the same for Peter.

Happy smiled upon seeing the family.

"Friday? Take a picture." Happy whispered, Friday happily obliged.

This was it.

This was their family.

Happily reunited once again.
