Darkness

Summary:
Peter has been going through a lot lately. School and being a hero has gotten in the way of him even having any time to himself. His Superfamily notice something is off.

Peter laid in his bed. Silence creeping around him. Darkness flooded the room, the only light being from the window that shed moonlight into his room.

Many nights had been like this. Peter just not being able to fall asleep and stare off for hours. If he was lucky he could creep in two or three hours. But that was only when he was extremely exhausted or injured.

He had tests, crime and internships to worry about. As the school year is typically tough for Peter since he has been so overloaded with work he gets little sleep catching up with everything.

Peter barely had time to himself anymore. Everyday was the same. He would get up, tired, and get ready for school, try to act normal with his hectic Superfamily in mornings before heading off to school. He gets a bunch of assignments and bullied. The only good part of school was seeing Ned and MJ who he barely has time for anymore besides a conversation in lunch or walking in the hall once or twice a day, which he was kind of glad about because they would totally see his state if they had anymore time together and tell his parents. After school he goes straight to being Spiderman. Fighting off crime and getting injuries from time to time. Not getting injured much on the job since his boyfriend Wade helps him. Nothing major really when it came to patrol, but it was still draining. Then he comes home and helps Tony and Bruce with something in the lab and talks to his Superfamily for a bit while eating dinner before going into his room and finishing homework until late at night and either not sleep or get 1-3 hours. Then rinse and repeat.

Of course he can tell his father's he has trouble sleeping and they can give him something but he didn't want them to worry. Of course he can tell his dad that he needs to pause the internship for a while and he would happily agree if it was too much on him but he didn't want to disappoint his dad and uncle Bruce. Of course he can tell his family about the bullying and he was sure it would stop but he didn't want another kid to be bullied. Of course he could have his boyfriend Wade take care of the city for a bit as he catches up some sleep. Of course he could have more time with MJ and Ned if he wanted to not hide his tiredness.

He could do all of this. But he doesn't. He just wallows in his emptiness and sadness.

He thought no one took notice. That no one cared. But he was wrong. They all took notice. And they all were worried.

"Hey guys. I don't know if it's only me that thinks this, or if my momma Steve instincts are just going off the charts, but..do you think Peter is okay?" Steve said

Tony looked up "He does look way more tired and sad. He doesn't talk as much as before."

"He comes in after school, does some stuff in the lab and then goes straight to his room. We can barely get him out of there. unless it's dinner. He's always saying he's doing homework or he is not there at all because of patrol." Natasha said

"He has these weird bruises and wounds. He says it's from the other days patrol but I really don't believe it. Remember when we asked Wade and he said Peter didn't even have problems one day on patrol but he still came home with bruises..blaming it on patrol." Bruce said

"He doesn't even hang out with friends anymore. Even his boyfriend, Wade, I think. I talked to him the other day and he's also worried about how closed off Peter got. He's only in his room/lab or patrolling. Everyday." Wanda said
