Peter and Tony were working on something in the lab.

Diligently and proficiently they were finishing a new machine.

Suddenly the lab doors opened and Morgan walked in.

"Hey dad. Hey Pete." Morgan greeted

"Hey Morgana." Tony said

"Hey Morgan." Peter said

"What are you guys working on?" Morgan questioned

"A machine that can detect facial features and help me understand you better because you're now a teenager and I do not want any angst in my house." Tony said "Even though Peter over here was quite an angsty child and I'd realize most of the symptoms."

"Was not." Peter said

"Remember that time I had to take away your suit." Tony said

"You weren't listening to me!" Peter said

"And there you go." Tony said

"You gave it back though." Peter mumbled and continued working on the machine, adjusting his goggles and lab coat

"As much as I would want to joke with my dad and brother I really need to talk to you guys about something. Well Peter already knows." Morgan said

"About what?" Tony said

"What do I know?" Peter said

"Well..I want to be a superhero." Morgan said and the room went silent.

"Oh that thing! Yeah uh I'm gonna just..finish this machine later Mr. Stark. Bye Morgan!" Peter said, getting up and before he could even get his lab coat off a stern voice suddenly spoke

"Sit. Down." Tony said without looking at Peter but he knew he was serious by his tone and facial features.

Peter immediately sat down and looked at Morgan.

"I'm sorry." Peter mouthed

Morgan looked a bit frightened.

"Let me..let me hear this again. What?" Tony said

"I-I..I said I wanted to be a...superhero?" Morgan said

"Absolutely not." Tony strictly said "Do you know how dangerous it is to be a superhero? You can't even begin to fathom how difficult it is."

"Listen dad, I know it's going to be difficult but it's something I really want to do. You all are superheroes. I just want to join the, I guess family business?" Morgan said

"Family business? The family business is Stark Industries. And all superheroes? Your mother does help time to time but she rather work at her business job here." Tony said

"Still, all the Avengers are like family and they are all heroes! And I want to be part of that." Morgan said

"We are the best heroes. We take on the worst villains and problems. Even if you were to somehow be a superhero, Avengers tasks are too dangerous for you." Tony said

"You all get into danger. That's the job!" Morgan said

"The job is to save people Morgan. As much as we went to avoid danger, it's impossible when it comes to saving lives." Tony said

"This is so unfair! You let Peter be a superhero and part of the Avengers when he was my age!" Morgan countered

"I do not want to be dragged into this please." Peter said

"Peter was a superhero before I met him. He was Spiderman since he was thirteen. And I don't know if you remember Morgan, but he's superhuman. That's why he was able to handle so much at a young age. He did mess up sometimes although he was superhuman, but he proved himself and got it back. Even if I didn't want Peter to be a superhero there's nothing I could do about it that leads to a good outcome." Tony countered back

Peter sighed.

"Mr. Stark I understand why you're so defensive about Morgan being a superhero but there's something more then that. A reason why you really don't want her to be. What is it?" Peter said

"I don't want her getting in danger and risking her life." Tony said

"There's something more then that. Why don't you want her to be a hero?" Peter said

"I just said it." Tony said "There's nothing more."

"You are so mad for a reason. Why?" Peter said

A few moments of silence went by.

"It's because I don't want what happened to you to happen to her." Tony gritted through his teeth.

"What happened to Peter..?" Morgan said

Peter looked down, understanding.

"Long ago. In the Infinity War remember. Thanos snapped and many of your aunts and uncles faded into dust. Including your brother. Peter." Pepper said, walking in.

Tony nodded, looking down.

"I lost Peter because we didn't win. We lost. I lost him for five whole years because we couldn't get that damn gauntlet off Thanos's hand. He faded and died in my arms." Tony said

Peter looked at Tony and smiled slightly.

"But then you had Morgan with Pepper and had a good life. But you still fought and brought me and everyone back. It was a win." Peter said and hugged Tony who hugged back.

Morgan looked down and then at Pepper.

"Okay..okay dad I won't be a hero." Morgan said "I know how much you would worry if I was. I do when you and Peter leave on a mission. I don't want you to feel that."

"No Morgan. I understand now. I...if it's something you really want. Then do it. All I ask is you have proper training from Shield and me, and that you don't do missions yet but go on patrol with Peter until you get the hang of things." Tony said and smiled

Morgan smiled brightly and ran up to hug her dad.

"Thanks dad." Morgan said

"No problem kiddo. Also don't take your focus off school or spending time with family. I'm sure Peter could help with that." Tony said

Peter smiled and looked at Pepper who was smiling brightly.

"You two get in the hug. It's going to be a Stark hug." Tony said, making them all laugh as Pepper walked over to the hug and Morgan yanked Peter into it.

Tony Stark, Pepper Stark, Peter Parker-Stark and finally Morgan Stark.

A true family.
